I didn’t know this place existed until someone put a link up on rtg. It’s my new go to place for takeover gossip as the thread on pf is constantly derailed my tedious bum holes.

I wish I knew about this place a month ago before I spent half my holiday trawling through thousands of pages of guff trying to get info on our potential new owners. Keep up the good work chaps and don’t let the wums get a foothold

    Must resist! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I just see that as a daft initiation as it's normally a welcome first and then a "oh aye, **** off" in the same post

Think it puts a few off posting after it though as a few are never seen again.

    Where's all the newbies based?

I've been Jarra from birth until a few years ago when I've come to beautiful County Durham.

Another forum. Pure Football on the Sunderland Message Board. I quite liked the anarchic nature of the place when I first signed up over there but it's felt more abusive than funny to me now for a couple of years so stopped posting. Lurked a bit to get info but the takeover thread was the straw that broke me back with the place. Far too much of a slag fest for me to enjoy. Coming back on here has felt quite refreshing, much prefer it.

It’s the Pure football page on rtg, I usually avoid it like the plague as it’s riddled with hand wringing flanges and wums but was forced on to check out the takeover thread which was derailed countless times by wums and hand wringing flanges.

This place seems much more pleasant.

Cheers. I'm one of the recent infiltrators. Stopped posting on RTG years ago due to too many wind ups and trolls in pretty much every thread.

South Shields was back in the 70's so I'll hazard a guess Jarrow was. Not sure when it was renamed to South Tyneside and County Durham was dropped from the address.

Poor use of substitutes, and some strange team selections along the way which have back-fired, thats my opinion. Other than that I quite like him and have said all along lets see where we are come December.

Jarrow and South Shields were always in County Durham until they introduced metropolitan authorities in the late 1960's which included South Tyneside and Teesside which later became Cleveland. Hartlepool and Stockton on Tees were also in County Durham until these changes were made.
Iirc Gateshead was a borough in its own right back then but the whole of the South of the Tyne was classed as County Durham.
