How do you all rate their partnership now?

    And what about the potential?

Are they worth the £1,150,000 paid for them?

They both looked VERY solid today. I still rate Chester as twice the player of Hobbs, but it is a great partnership. I also really thought Dudgeon was good today, I'm looking forward to seeing him grab the LB position by the balls over the next 6 weeks.

His best game in a city shirt today and is improving by the game it seems. Good to see him proving the doubters wrong after the first few games and he looks to be forming a good partnership with James Chester. Playing against the likes of Benjani and Varney was going to be a test and both did very well against them. Not the **** player that some people made him out to be.
Another one who is improving has to be Mckenna. Had another good game and looks to be forming a good partnership with Cairney and improving the midfield since those first couple of games.

Just did a thread on Jack Hobbs praising him on his performance today. Forming a good partnership with Chester and good to see him proving the doubters wrong with his performances on the pitch. Is it worth merging both threads OLM?

I'd still question taking a Man Utd centre-half with massive potential for £300k and then bringing in a Leicester defender with decent potential for almost triple that.

However, I think it's fairer to suggest that we landed a bargain with Chester than to say we majorly overpaid for Hobbs.
Clearly Man Utd weren't too fussed about the transfer fee as it's small money to them, and I would guess that they accepted so little because of his height.

    More fool Sir Alex.

chester is quality, hardly notice him most the game, but to me thats a good thing with defenders..you only usually notice when they do something wrong..

If you take out the freak result at Leeds (which was more to do with Gulacsi having a stinker) Hobbs and Chester have conceded 2 goals in 6 matches. Enough said.

I remember being really impressed when I saw him at Reading last season (for the first time). It's also good to hear that some people think McKenna and Cairney are forming a good partnership.

Why is she in a City shirt? (or have you been doctoring photos for your own immoral purposes?)

Hobbs and Chester look a great pairing and complement each other very well, knew it would take a few games for them to grown into their roles, unlike the numpties posting 'Hobbs is ****' one game into the season on here.

What a lot of these so called Hull City Fans don't seem to get is that thses youngsters that NP has brought in are the future. They are all growing together as a team. Add a little experience now and again to assist their education in the game AND bingo. Thats exactly what the likes of Man U and Arsenal have done. I'm all for it. Lots of people have said "You never win anything with youngsters" Bulls..t The game is crying out for youngsters they have no fear and have everything to prove. Long may it continue at the KC. Long live NP UTT.

The main numpty appears to have done one , for now anyway . Maybe because Hobbs has been excellent in our last two games ??
You know who I mean .

I did cross swords with the dickhead on another thread though so he hasn't disappeared altogether .
