    looks like the 8-2 wasn't a 'one-off' now we have a 4-3 as well.

The team were embarassed by Blackburn who started the match bottom of the table.

The defence was appalling with schoolboy howler own goals. Undone by set pieces again.

We will be in the bottom 3 by tomorrow afternoon.

The Shrewsbury game is now a watershed.

Immediate action is needed by the Board who should set an example by bringing back David Dein to the fold as chief exec and move AW upstairs to make way for Martin ONeill to come in as manager/coach

Failure to act now will see us in danger of relegation.

The worst thing is teams dont even need to sit back and get physical vs us anymore. Reason being we arent better than them. We used to have better footballers than whoever we played. No longer. Sad.

Bolton home next. If we dont win that then we have spuds away. We could be in the relegation zone after 7 games.

Sure some might say only 7 games. But 7 games is over 1 fifth of a season.

Sacking him is the ONLY way to solve it, he is the problem.

Don't be a dick - how is it going to solve the problem?

It will just plunge the club into a rudderless crisis

I think AW will retire at the end of this season
I think he'll be replaced by Klopp, Ancelotti, etc...

However, sacking him now would be stupid

Did you not bother to read my OP.

Bringing back David Dein and appointing Martin ONeill would not leave the club rudderless, it would be doing what Spurs did when they brought in Redknapp.

We need a manager/coach with proven premiership experience to arrest this slide before it gets serious, Wenger has completely lost it.

Apologies - I didn't read the whole OP

I would agree that bringing in Dein would be a good move.

Not so sure about MON though.

  10. That's what stopped us sacking Ramos early on, and it could have cost us. No one foresaw the winning spree that we went on under Harry, and there's no guarantee that you'll be able to emulate that if you leave it too late getting rid of Wenger.

Wenger who is a serial under achiever should be replaced by some one who overachieves against all the odds like Tony Pulis at Stoke. Pulis would bring discipline and organisation to the Arsenal defence and not tolerate the antics prima donnas like Walcott and Chamakah.

Nobody at Arsenal wants the likes of Pulis but Martin ONeill would do a good job for us.

  14. You'll want to avoid overreacting like LFC did and appointing your own "Roy Hodgson" though. You'll need to appoint someone who is going to work within the ethos of your club.

Hodgson is a very good manager, but he wasn't good for LFC.

Ramos was **** from day one.
Arsenal are nowhere near in a much of a crisis as Spurs were when he was in charge.

Sacking Wenger would be like trying to extinguish a fire with petrol.

Arsenal would never approach a candidate who is already with another club.

MON is the logical choice, he did well at Villa, he encourages young players (eg Agbonlahor, Young et al) and he is an astute tactical coach, he is available and if we don't get him he will end up at Man U or anothr top club.

Out of all the clamour for change, this is the one thing I would go along with <ok>

How bad does it have to get before someone does something then?

If we're in the bottom half by Christmas, then I think questions would be asked about whether Wenger should continue.
If we finish the season outside the Top 4, then I think we need to look at the set up again.

Think we have enough captains and leaders in the place. <laugh>

I'll settle for one Gus Hiddink <ok>
