Truth is when I was at my peak as in aiding my football with regular Gym sessions and living clean, I owned the middle of the pitch...bossed it. I was like Edgar Davids with my powerhouse displays and like Socrates, the Brazilian midfield legend of the 80’s, with my eye for starting off attacks and on the odd occasion cracking a Worldie, top binz
Anyone read any football bios? I've read Fowler's, Carra's and Gerrard's. Fowlers is excellent and the other two aren't bad. Only non Liverpool one I'd consider reading is Roy Keane's.
I’ve read a few Fergies, Keanes, Poch, Redknapp and Joey Barton’s Enjoyed them all...think most are worth a read. My fave Non boxing one is Tyson’s.
Was Barton's any good? Redknapp's I imagine was amusing. I've also read Tyson's which was interesting. Lawrence Dallaglio's is a really good read.
Yeah...I enjoyed it...talking about all his antics on the pitch that you will know about plus loads of Chavvy life situations in his private life that he made a meal of....but it’s enjoyable because it’s honest.
I used to read a lot, read fergies, read keanes. Most self pitying was Joe Calzaghe Best was Mick Foley, have a nice day, the old WWF wrestler, great read, utter bonkers lifestyle.
I've read both Ferguson's, both Charlton's, an Eric Cantona one and a George Best one. Got half way through Roy Keane's 2nd one. No idea why I didn't finish it, i should do really. Couple of Munich ones too, they're a tough read but good.
i reckons Best's would be a good one, once starting reading Oliver Reids, bit like yourself, never finished it.
Alan Hutchison of Derby County was wearing white boots whilst Di Canio was still in nappies... literally
Nope ... first game I saw in colour was Leocesster V Swindon in 1970 ... we lost at home 2-0 ... was on ITV ... Hutchison and his boots were part of Clough's Derby title winning team sometime later ... but thanks for playing all the same
Never been interested in football biographies I just don't think you really get an insight into the world of football as the egos are too big so you just get what they want you to hear as long as it makes them some good.
