I'm not sure it's a lack of chemistry, as there have been some nice, short, quick passing moves at times. The balance of the side, lack of creativity and some very rusty players have restricted us badly, though. We don't have anyone dictating the midfield or creating chances. There's little width and no penetration.
Jackson is injured and can't continue. Probably a bit fortunate that he didn't give away a penalty, but the handball was a bit harsh. Replaced by Cowan-Hall, who is a striker, I believe. Attacking move.
Dier whipping in some great crosses. Parrott gets on the end of one but skies it. Nice movement by the young lad but lacking end product at the moment. Promising though in what has otherwise been a dreadful game thus far from Spurs.
Dele chests a cross from Dier in the box and then throws himself to the floor. Are we really that desperate?
Cowan-Hall is the first in the book. Prevented a break by Davies, but gets away with a push on Alli in the box. Overdid the reaction, I think.
Walker-Peters hits the post. Probably a cross and it just doesn't fall for Alli. Really obvious shirt pull on Dier from the corner. Stuck out a mile!
In 2005 we played League 3 Grimsby in this competition ... a 17 year old Aaron Lennon played and Jol said he was the only bright spot in our 1 nil loss.... Can't think why that comes to mind
Eriksen beats the first man with his first corner. Also beats everyone else. Gambin replaced by Brown for Colchester's second substitution.
What a smashing corner that was from Eriksen. Cleared the first man. And then it cleared everyone else.
Eriksen's clearly been working on dead ball situations. He takes a corner, finally clears the first man and everyone else!
Poch lookin pissed We don’t have it in us to go beast mode even for 10 minutes and show our PL class
