I'm happy with Ole as he'll steer the squad in the right direction ie young players who want to play for United. However, the club won't be successful again while Woodwood is in charge.

United are making money though so I doubt he'll be pushed unless you finish below top 6.

Trouble with money men in charge of clubs.

Soon it will be just City throwing money around and everyone else working more of less to a budget.

Absolutely, as long as the Glazers are making money they won't care.

All of this just reinforces how incredible SAF was as he had to work under the same constraints and still won everything.

    Honestly?

If I were the club i would be putting in place a diligent recruitment programme to make sure we have the absolute correct manager (finally) ready to take over at the end of this season.

    Woodward has never done this.

LVG and Mourinho were just big name has been's he'd heard of who happened to be out of work. They were out of work for a reason for **** sake.

The new manager shouldn't be Ancelotti, Zidane etc. etc. or whichever merry go round name is next on the list.

They should be scouring Europe for the next manager to actually be able to do something at the club with some coaching nouse and ideas.

Ole will not be manager next season.

He did well to compete with Chelsea but you were never short of spending to be fair - albeit your turnover probably allowed for this unlike at Chelsea and City.

I can feel myself ranting about the Premier League again!

    Unsustainable, under-governed dreamworld league.

Fergie literally had no money to work with for the first few years. After that he had money because he sold Ronaldo. In his last couple of years he was given one big signing a summer. If you look at the figures, several clubs, including Liverpool but particularly Chelsea, were spending massive amounts more than United.

Yeah I don't deny he was brilliant.

I just remember from time to time you'd buy a Rio, Vidic, Young etc who would improve the team.

Probably Liverpool had is they had money but couldn't attract the top talent.

Having the class of 1992 helped Fergie (nothing wrong with that) but I doubt we'll see that many quality players come through like that again at one time.

Why've you highlighted the bit in bold?

Manchester United net spend from 2005/6 - 2012/13 (the period Fergie worked under the Glazer's transfer rulings)
    £103.7m

    Liverpool's transfer spend from 2005/6 - 2012/13
    £150.25m

United's net spend in the first three years under the Glazers which culminated in a title and a European Cup
    £31.65m

Liverpool's net spend during the same period
    £81.15m

I know it's a widely peddled Merseyside myth that Fergie bought his success but you were even matching United £ for £ in the 90s.

Thanks for your kind words about last night's win. I hope your reporter mate enjoyed it. Unlikely as he seems to hate United more than you do! <cheers>

Not spoken to him for a while. He's pretty disillusioned. I know too well how that feels.

    Please say it's true!!!!!

Desperate times call for scanning the gossip but to get rid of Pogba, get Kroos in the return, and get Grealish as well would be a good window.

    We'll **** it up though, 100%

His agent said he wants to stay, almost certainly because they want to make out like he was forced out. Pair of twats.

Pogba for Kroos straight swap I’d do in a heartbeat, but we should be dragging Real Madrid every which way over this, and getting at least £80m on top.

We won’t though, we’ll say there’s no value in the market after failing to sign Barnsley’s 3rd choice goalkeeper.

What's with Fernandes - why does every single ****ing transfer deal we get involved with have to become a bloody saga. Just pay the man a fair price, get the player and move on to the next target.
