In fairness McTomminay and Young dig in, Lingard too most of the time, it just pisses me off that nobody seems to take charge and bollock the players who are hiding. One of the things that does my head in (may be picky for some) is when someone plays a crossfield or forward ball that goes out of play and the receiving player applauds the idea/attempt. Don't clap him, **** him for hitting the ball too hard
I was thinking DDG and Mcguire (bit early for latter). Not convinced the three you named should be in the first team, none are the standard that Man Utd should be aiming for.
Wasn't talking about ability, just commitment and fight. de Gea is a wet sponge, McGuire has promise. In the present squad Matic or Pogba should be the one stepping up but one just seems content to do his job and the other just want's to loom good.
Bit harsh on DDG, he's stuck with you despite having ****e in front of him. Honestly, I wouldn't want any player at Man Utd atm. Not one. Can't ever remember saying that before.
He is getting well paid for it and didn't exactly have a queue for him in the summer. That's not the point I was making though, he is too nice and never once screams at his defence.
Surely this is a problem with the manager too? I know we don't always see what goes on behind the scenes, but I can't imagine Ollie holds the fear factor required to get the commitment from his players. Imagine if Fergie was in charge of that lot, they'd be ****-scared to leave the pitch after some of the performances they've put in.
I can see why you think this but I think Ole has a different side to his public persona. I look at the players he has "disposed of" in his first transfer window and tend to think that is just the start. I have said this before but one statement from an interview sticks in my mind from last season, "I will be a success here, some of these players won't". He needs time and I think he will get a decent amount.
Hmmm. I'm not convinced - but like I said, it could be different behind the scenes and I could be wrong. Anyway, if he does have it in him he needs to start banging some heads together pretty quick and getting some results - I can't see him being given an indefinite amount of time. Bet you all turn up in a month's time though.
He needs to get a decent amount of results to enable him to get that time. I don't mean title challenging results, he needs to be challenging (not necessarily achieve) the top four. I don't think he'll be in charge next season.
Because no one else wants him? He was ready to go Madrid and it ****ed up and since then no one else has been in so he’s signed a massive contract. Done well out of it but I don’t think I’ve ever seen him open his mouth on the pitch
2 problems with this 1. Have you seen the other CB's 2, They haven't got a proper DM they've got Xhaka ad Torreira who has the physical presence of a 6 year old .
