Water is wet. Pochettino ****s up substitutions. Not sure how much longer I can persist with this. Bloke’s seemingly lost it.
2-1 FT. Good first half, poor second half. Rodgers closed out Lamela and Pochettino didn't change things until it was too late. Can't help but feel that the game changed on a poor VAR decision, though. Randomly drawn line to even things up for their "goal", for me. Another away game without a win and with the unsuccessful diamond. Pretty ridiculous.
First and foremost Leicester are looking like a very god side this year and they’ll give better teams than us problems this year. I always hate it when we have to play them. As for Spurs it’s not looking good is it. Defensively all over the place even with what, IMO, is our best back 4 on the field. NDombele is looking a bit like Dembele before Poch sorted him out - clearly got the balance of silk and steel but not always the presence of mind to do the right thing. Something is clearly not right.
I thought it was a good game, the disallowed goal was massive in my opinion and the match could have gone either way. Maddison is a cheat by the way and was not the MOTM in any shape or form. Draw would have been a fair result - I am worried about Dier if if this version of Wanyama is considered a better option when we are trying to see a match out.
Said this ages ago. Something went on that we don't know about, I think. We've looked well off ever since.
Maybe its time for Poch to replace Zidane at Real, because its not working with us anymore these players need new leadership and that time has come.
Throw the game away, such stupidity against this lot. They were looking to hurt us through the middle with they pace... so what does our man do., brings on Wanyama who hasn't even played a decent game all season, and has looked rather slow for the past two
The ruthlessness and mental toughness has been gone for the best part of a year now, mate. Part of me hoped that the CL run was a sign we’d regained it, but our PL performances at the end of last season should have dulled my optimism in that regard. We were riding the crest of a wave rather than seeing a turnaround for the team. Poch looks out of kilter too, as others have said. It’s not good.
I see what Poch is doing. He says "screw the league, were going for the League Cup!" It looks like a Spursy season lads!!!! Wanyana.Bye!
I thought we were good tbh but Leicester were really good too. Draw would've been about right and whilst it hurts to concede a goal when were looking more likely going forward, it's the smallest of margins which prevented us from going on to win. Has anyone got the clip of the Rose penalty shout in the first half btw? Looked pretty nailed on to me at the time.
Poch has lost his edge I wouldn’t say the players aren’t playing for him because Ndombele was bang average too and he’s new. I think Poch doesn’t have the fire in him...I’m still baffled that he said he would have left had we won the CL. He’s too romantic to be ruthless at the top and we have dropped a few levels as a result.
I think we lose the ball so easily and stupidly...top teams don’t do that..we can’t under estimate what losing the ball so easily can do to wear us down mentally. Why do we always look a wreck near the end...why does every Spurs fan bar none know that we are goi g to lose? I called it at half time They are in a mental bubble...can see it a mile off
I never thought I'd see Bournemouth leaving us behind in the league but.....bloody good luck to them.
Yeah, I thought Rose just ran into him at first, but the replay made it obvious. Not clear and VAR obvious though, apparently.
VAR is going to be used as an excuse. But it'll miss the point. We have not won away since February. We have conceded 2 goals in EVERY away game this season. We have kept 1 clean sheet in the past 13 matches in all competitions. We have not kept an away clean sheet in the league since beating Cardiff on January 1st. We have lost 14 out of our last 32 matches in all competitions (winning 14 and drawing 4) in this calendar year. Our wins included beating relegated Cardiff, Fulham and Huddersfield...plus Tranmere and nearly relegated Brighton and Newcastle and newly promoted Villa. In the league we have draw with Arsenal (twice) and City and lost to Chelsea, United, City and Liverpool. Plus West Ham and Leicester and we drew with Everton. So we haven't beaten a top 10 team since beating Leicester in February 2019. Which ever way this is looked at there are serious problems. And they have not been addressed. And VAR is not the issue regardless of today
Sadly, in the Premier League the one thing that most mid-tier or below clubs should do is never try to finish higher than 9th, preferably 12th - because if they actually put in the effort all that happens is their team gets dismantled (see: Aston Villa, Southampton, Swansea - and the way the hacks are currently writing about Bournemouth's players is looking ominous)
We will never compete on another level because we have an owner who won’t spend a penny until he sees that penny come in first. Working for such a person can’t be easy when the standards are so high and we are competing with clubs who’s owners will take that risk. 3 clubs have done that...City, Pool, Chelsea. It works Yeah we spent a lot this season but so what...about time.
Nothing wrong with VAR....did it’s job. Thought the ref was decent too. The problem is within our club.
