On another note, not that it affected the result, but why did Bournemouth get to keep the ball from the drop ball in the first half? We had the ball before the ref stopped it for a head injury to their players and then gave them possession for a drop ball. Arguably the single worst piece of refereeing I've ever seen.
We were unlucky as well, there were LOADS of half chances that didn't fall our way. Honestly, if you look at that game and slate the team or manager, you haven't been watching premier league football for long IMO. Sometimes they go your way, sometimes they dont. No need to slate the team for today.
I do think that 2-2 might've been a fairer reflection, but we can't keep starting matches so badly, Ralph needs to get his starting XI right in future. I had hoped of a Valery Bedders Kev Bertie back four this season.

All I'm trying to say, is its ****ing chalk and cheese from pellegrino/Hughes. We are playing with pace, purpose and look like a PL side. We have quality going forward again. We wont win every game, especially against the better sides in the league (which Bournemouth are). But ****ing hell we are giving it a go now. Get behind them, FFS!! Cant believe I'm reading such drivel about RH being useless etc. Mentalists.
I think Djenepo would have been the difference 2nd half and we would have got a result. No complaints about the 2nd half performance but we can't start playing well at 45 minutes in. You get punished when you do that.
Pace, maybe. Purpose? You can't let in such easy goals, nor fail to test their goalkeeper meaningfully from open play, and be totally delighted with that.
Well overall, disappointing result, but encouraging second half performance after an unconvincing first half. At least it was spotted something wasn’t working and dealt with. Though I was only watching it on TV, not one of the elite analysts at the game so take my opinion with a pinch of salt.
Agreed, we seem to end up chasing so many games because we don't get it right from the outset. Not understanding the defensive setup tonight and other times too, one full back playing on the wrong side, CB's expected to cover and switching formation at the back from 4 then to 3, back to 4... Vestie still gets selected over Maya...

Need to start playing for an entire match though. Won't win too many games at this level if you play poorly for half of most matches.
