"The decision was taken to act immediately in light of recent information passed to the WRU. No further details can be provided at this stage as this would prejudice the investigation." Wow... he's a silly boy if there's actually anything to it. I am going to say though, that apart from maybe a little disruption I can't see it making any difference. Not negative anyway, not in the way we (apparently, sometimes) play attacking, creative rugby.
Wales are up there with the best make no mistake. I still believe we will make the last 4 and then who knows....

Scarey stuff. Got knocked out a couple times playing. Remember the headaches that lasted a few days. Thought nothing of it then. Grateful not to have any lasting effects.
Rugby union is one of the worlds toughest if not the toughest contact sport in the world and injuries through hard tackles go unattested far to often to deem the sport a safe sport to play. I personally think more needs to be done to protect players more including after the players retire as we are seeing some players are developing symptoms of medical needs caused by serious tackles done during their playing time that went untreated..
There have debates about the two codes for ages. They even went as far as wigan and bath playing each other at each others code. All it showed was that wigan were better at league and bath were better at union. Some interesting things came out of it though. League stamina was poor. Two breakdowns and the league players were walking about the field. League can't scrummage. The bath front row picked the wigan front row up in the first srum, marched them back 5 yards to show what they can do then effectively went to passive scums. The upper body strength of league players isn't all its made out to be. There is no mauling in league. In the union game, bath took the ball like candy from a baby. Obviously lots of reciprocal strengths for league, like explosiveness. Two very different games. I think league is a way behind the safety curve compared to union. The big hits head high keep raining in. Nothing to do with tougher, just safety.
League i enjoy watching but in no way is it anywhere near as tough as union when it comes to the game itself imo...
League are now also looking at this Protecht mouthguard, as is (ice) hockey. In fact, the collisions in Rugby League are more akin to the hits in American Football - they tend to be ‘straight on’, whereas the hits in Union are more akin to Ice Hockey, where players are hit in all directions. The CEO of SWA (Protecht) told me that himself. Football is not immune to this - in fact, in the early days of the development of Protecht, the inventors were astounded at the ‘high impact’ readings from an Ospreys training session at Llandarcy - they came from a pre-training session game of Football Headed Tennis! Other notable impacts (on the brain) came from Line-outs as the players landed back on the ground.....
Close game between the French and the Argies! Next up are the All Blacks against the Bokke. The aggregate score over their last three meetings is 82-82.
Personally I don't care which game is toughest, but I do find Rugby League extremely boring to watch. When I lived in Australia I worked at the State of Origin match in Sydney. The hype around the game was immense - as big as anything I've ever seen in any sport. The atmosphere was excellent in the stadium but the game itself was fairly dull. I also used to work at the same stadium for the Rabbitohs matches - about 10000 fans in a stadium that holds over 80,000 meant for a really rubbish atmosphere - again the matches were fairly dull and irritating. Players just run into the tackles instead of trying to avoid them for the most part and it makes the game lacklustre for me. Not a huge fan of Union either, but I find it far more watchable and exciting than League.
