I have to say there's a lot of unfounded arrogance from fans going into this game ! Brighton have been on par with us for many years , so it's not a must win game at all! it's a game either side don't want to lose because both sides are as good as each other . I think home advantage can be the difference , but if we lose don't be surprised and start acting like we should expect a win . Keep it real !!!
I wouldn't be surprised if either team came away with a point or 3 or none at all. You wouldn't bet against it!
I'm hearing people saying bruce will be under pressure if we don't win !! I think were doing as well as I expected !!! looking at out fixtures I expected 3 to 6 points and we have 4 . We have also had big injury issues that needs considering. I have us down for a win, but if we don't it's far too son to be over reacting . I can only assume people say 17th is the aim , but are nor sincere !!! they think we are better and just don't convey their true feelings.
We're 3rd bottom but we're only 4 points away from 3rd top. We could be comfortably mid-table come 8pm tomorrow night depending on results elsewhere if we win. I'd say we're exactly where we should be at this stage of the season and we're 4 points better off than we were this time last season. Bruce got dis !
then I fancy us to get something against the highly overrated Leicester … I say what I see not what I want to believe or whats rammed down my throat in the media.
Its amazing how everybody this season is getting carried away with positions and points after so few games. Read one expert saying he couldnt see anybody catching Liverpool now. Last year they blew a 7pt lead in January. Funniest was a commentator on the BBC who described the Man Utd game against Southampton as like a microcosm of their season. It was only their 4th bloody game.
On the contrary the games against the teams who are in and around you are the ones that define your season. No games are must win at this stage of the season but we achieved the finishes we did the last two seasons by winning games against the lower half teams.
You said it’s not a must win game because they are on a par with us. I said these are the games we need to win. Or are you saying that both us and Brighton are not really relegation candidates?
We only took 1 point against these over both games last season, but that was in the era of miracle survival. This will be a routine win, if not today, then certainly when the return fixture comes around. I predict Almiron will not score or assist but will be delighted if I'm wrong.
It’s my version of a continental breakfast innit? Full cooked then a bit of fruit......doused in alcohol!
