HI WJ, I have no knowledge of "Californian Independence." The creation of the USA included a retention of many "States' Rights." Are you referring to that? I am very happy living in a progressive state that tends to lead the country/world in many areas, innovation and public policy.
Assuming he behaved in a decent manner, i.e., did not act in a way to ridicule his character, I agree with you. It was a fancy dress party after all, wasn't it? Not quite. The point is that the confederates went to war to maintain a system of slavery and oppression, which has left a stain on the USA and continues to be manifested in many ways. The Union and black leaders were on the right side of the issue.
Agree with most of that, but certain things like SS uniforms are offensive and there are many who think the way they did and still pose a serious threat to any decent society. Simply not necessary to display that, think of another costume. I am very happy living in a progressive state that tends to lead the country/world in many areas, innovation and public policy. Thank you for your good wishes.
Not quite! Which black people who voted for him - all three of them? If you would be comfortable with a narcissistic, psychopathic, fascist, wannabee dictator running your country then I wish you the best. Millions here see him for what he is, a pathetic failure who has only delivered for the very wealthy and industry. I don't expect to change anyone's mind on this but I present an alternative view for the rest.
