Ahm making roast chicken an chips.

Had no olive oil so basted the chicken with salt, Cajun mix and butter.

Due to lack of oil I found some garlic infused olive oil spray so that’s been hoyed on the chips. They’re being obeyed with the chicken.

Then got a green cabbage which I’m going to par boil then sauté with some bacon.

No idea if I’m going to make a gravy or something.

Bollocks. If I’m having a roast chicken Sunday dinner. It’s oil and salt. I don’t want the chicken to taste of anything but chicken.
Chicken doesn't get eaten in my gaff unless it's been scoared and soaking, usually in a bag for at least 24 hours with melted butter and various seasonings depending on what I fancy.

Can't be eating no plain chicken personally I find chicken the blandest if all meats.

You need to add a poll for a week to this thread to see if there are other people like you whom eat vanilla chicken and like it.

It really bothers me tbh you could save my life and I'd still never forgive you for this.

well **** off complaining about picture quality ffs.
I wasn't complaining just observing that the picture looked vintage not really because of the quality more the things packaging looked vintage.

And it wouldn't be unheard of people using filters @luvgonzo

It's Birds, their custards etc are in the same packaging, they always have been.

If you’re eating a traditional Sunday roast you’d want it not to taste of chicken but a load of manky herbs?

I’m all good with flavouring chicken dependant on what I’m having it with.

I was told today off a new method..

Can off Coke, or anything you want, can bee beer also also, open on a baking tray, place chicken on top, obviously with can inside chicken, slow roast...Drink heats up, Flavours the bird, spillage goes into tray for gravy.

Sounds basic enuff,

I don't eat traditional Sunday roasts because the chickens tasteless and the rest of a Sunday dinner is bland and I end up covering it all in gravy anyway so avoid them as best I can.
