Respectfully, I'd like to disagree with you and discuss why. This summer was tumultuous, but it wasn't a disaster. Cesc and Nasri's exits were harsh, we got mugged with the former and shafted by the latter. But they didn't want to play for the club anymore, so not withstanding their talent (which is near irreplacable) it's best that they are gone. The replacements - Arteta and Benayoun are both skillful and experienced players, they already look like they 'fit' with Arsenal. Mertesacker is a ****ing God send. The difficulties we've had a CB have been a massive factor in our downfall for a few seasons. Gervinho looks like the real deal too and we've other players to bring in. Is their calibre 'up to scratch'? Given the transfer landscape, with City, Chelsea and several European clubs including PSG and Anzhi Makhachkala - able to usurp any deal for 'top talent' then yes! We acted shrewdly and efficiently in the market, given the conditions. Also - we strengthened in every area that we said needed it. Already the players we have brought in look more committed to the cause that those who have now left. The focus of the team has changed for the better in my opinion and that is already showing in our attitude and our results. In summary, I'd say Wenger actually did remarkably well this summer. and I love Arsenal too
So we lost to the worst premier legue team I have seen in years. They are truely terrible and we lost. No excuses, we suck. And all you people who get abusive because I am not a "real fan" apparently, well I dont think its acceptable to accept such a terrible team/squad. If you think we are good then you need to go and support spuds/loserpool and join their delusional fanbase. We suck. Its a shambles. I cant see us coming any better than 6th this year. But probably lower tbh. Djourou needs to go too. The guy is a joke. I guess most of you are happy that we gave the worst side in the league a decent game and only just lost. Get a grip. Things have to change at arsenal. This season is a write off.
I am very close to Wenger out ! His teams CANNOT defend at all, they cannot finish, they are wasteful, we are nothing more than a mid table team at present.
Our defence was massively culpable again today. Koscielney made too many errors and our marking was non existent. We were good going forward. But our defence has cost us the game, again
The fault lie with Wenger, Song should have being made to sit infront of the back four. Often the defensive part of our game is non exitence.
Its just a few people who cant see the truth are loud and rude and then the rest just join in like sheep. Like school playground behauviour. We suck. Thats all there is to it.
Don't be so hard on yourselves, guys. You've still got a couple of players to come back who can make a difference.
