perfect1.jpg Good Morning. It's Wednesday 18th September, and here are the Leeds Utd headlines

Will the Council give Leeds Utd the green light?

Council bosses are meeting today to discuss the proposed state of the art training facilities and academy on the former Matthew Murray High School site, by the M621.

Extensive plans show high-class performance sports pitches, gyms, specialist nutrition facilities and physio rooms at a cost believed to be around 25m.

If Leeds do get the green light, it will propel them to Category One status, which is a requirement for the Premier League.

    Leeds Coach racially abused

Leeds Utd Coach Road Cristopher has been telling the YEP how he was racially abused recently on his way home, getting off a bus.

"I was sat downstairs at the back, after getting on in town," "I noticed a man across from me who looked drunk and half asleep.

"I walked down the isle to get off and clearly heard him shout 'You black b*****d'

"His abuse was totally unprovoked and he seemed to be spoiling for a confrontation from the moment he laid eyes on me.

"Nobody said anything to him," he added. "I don't think the driver heard either, as his focus was on parking safely, with a loud bus engine.

"I was obviously disgusted at what I heard, but decided to just exit the bus and move on. But the next day I shared the incident on social media and the support from all over the world was fantastic and heart warming.

"I have lived in Leeds my whole life and grew up in Seacroft. It's been well over 20 years since I've been subjected to such abuse."

Whilst racism of any kind should not be tolerated, being called a black b*****d by a drunk who is off his face is not exactly newspaper material. In my opinion, he should have either ignored or traded insults with the cretinous drunk.

It's 2019, not 1982, should things like this still be happening?

Leeds Worried about losing Nketiah in January - Hay

According to Phil Hay, Leeds are worried about the possibility of Arsenal recalling Eddie Nketiah in the January transfer window. The youngster has netted four times this season (league and Cup) already, the same as Bamford though the 19yo Gooner has only had a fraction of the game time as our No 9.

Nketiah’s Leeds loan deal is like most of those sanctioned by Premier League clubs – which is able to be terminated only if the loanee fails to make a fixed number of first-team appearances.

    Thoughts?

"I was browsing my phone, minding my own business, but when he woke up I could feel his eyes staring. I just knew he was going to say something and cause trouble by his angry look.

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

Whatever happens in this country racism will never vanish completely. On the continent its above the surface and everywhere but at least here its underneath the surface, but at times dipshits let themselves down. I read the Rod Christopher story when it happened and it had nothing to donwith the club or fans so I dont see it as relevant to this forum. Yes it was crap and I applaud the way Rod dealt with it.

I dont see Eddie being recalled as he is getting some game time and Im sure Emery will understand Bielsas thinking and confident Eddie will be a better player faster by allowing Bielsa to hone him. Eddie is 19yo just like young Haaland both special talents and Eddie may get a lucky break and capitalise just like Haaland. Young Erland was snapped up by Molde when Ole Gunna was manager and he scored goals. Red Bull Salzburg bought him and left him at Molde but took him from the start of this season. He was supposed to be going out on loan but an injury to the main striker meant Haaland got a chance and he scored 11 goals in 6 matches then smashed another 3 last night making him the youngest player ever to score a hat trick in the first half of CL debut. He joins Raul and Rooney as the youngest debutee hat tricks for 90 minutes. So luck can change and young Haaland got a break so hope Eddie stays patient. Haaland has scored 26 goals since the season started in May

Good Morning to Matt Doc and co from an extremely chilly Bardsey
I am sure Eddie will stay at Leeds for the seasonas I am sure Jack Clark will return to Spurs to be farmed out elsewhere
Haarland would be a great signing but how much would he cost£15m at least but if we were in the PL this would be no problem
The new training ground will this mean the end of Bates influence on the club as I am sure he is involved in TA

To be honest I was surprised we got Eddie on loan. With Arsenal playing FA cup, league cup and Europa league I thought he would get plenty of game time there. Maybe Emery wanted to cut his teeth week in and week out in proper league games so whilst it’s not acceptable for them to insist on him being picked I can understand why they’d recall him if the loan isn’t producing what they expected. That’s the down side of loaning players.

No, racial abuse is unacceptable at any time but unfortunately it will happen, some idiots will provoke and try to cause bother regardless, whether they abuse against colour, nationality, size or hair colour, they love confrontation and will find someone to have a pop at.

As good as Eddie has started, I don't feel he's anywhere near ready for the premiership just yet, can see other Championship clubs wanting him, why would he want to leave for them, other than he was getting no game time? Lets not forget, we paid very good money for this loan, so why should they just be able to recall him?

Is Phil struggling for stories, as I see no legs in this whatsoever?

I'll try and keep this story short but I moved over to Leeds a few weeks ago, was home last weekend for a wedding and played a football match the day after, broke my leg pretty badly. This means I've spent a week in hospital for surgery etc and now at home recovering.

I have a ticket for the Derby game on Saturday but there is no way I will be back over for it, anyone looking a ticket or knows anyone looking a ticket let me know

    Morning all,

Have to say that I don't approve of racism of any kind, but if it was a fat white Leeds United tea lady, would it even make the press if she was called a fat bastard? Or are we fatties supposed to just suck it up? (I do :)) Seems to me that abuse is graded these days & the higher grades are promoted by activists, to the extent that they influence lawmaking. They're not wrong in taking issue, and hats off to them, but it means these abuses are unfairly considered compared to other, equally unwelcome abuses. You could probably get off an assault charge by claiming you were provoked by being racially abused, but if the abuse was even more hateful than that, and you were was called an Estate Agent, no matter how horrified & sympathetic the Judge was, he couldn't let you off. Which is really, really unfair. Imagine being called an Estate Agent! <yikes><yikes><yikes>

As for Eddie, let's not forget that he came here against his managers wishes. He is going nowhere, and Arsenal will allow it, because the education and development he is getting here under Bielsa is second to none, and worth far more that playing every single game for any other team.

Given his current attitude & level of performance, I can't see Spuds wanting him back. Which is a pity. Wasted wages. Wonder if we're allowed to send him back?

Sorry to hear that, matey. Pretty sure we've met - a long time ago. Memory is a little clouded, but do I recall correctly that 'home' is Norn? If so, wonder if @Davy could relieve you of the ticket. If not, perhaps @w.c.dukenfield might be interested if I give him a lift?

Get well soon, btw. Must be so frustrating lying there looking at all those gorgeous nurses. Remember to switch off the heart monitor if you're going to have a tug, or you'll have the crash team witnessing your happy ending! :D

When I'm drunk and spoiling for a fight any stand out feature comes into play, whether its fat, skinny, bald, long haired, ginger, big, little, northern, welsh, scots or irish one of them words will precede 'bastard', I would be mortified when I sobered up to be branded racist because I used the word black in order to provoke a confrontation.

It's not using fat, skinny, bald, long haired, ginger, big, little, northern,Welsh scots, Irish, etc which cause offence it's calling someone a "bastard" that causes offence.
    Don't you think
