Wow, that was poor. Didn’t see that performance coming after the last few weeks. Too many players miles off their games today, with Field, Hemed & Leko the worst offenders. Oztumer has simply got to do better that what he produced in 60 mins. Jonny Williams must start every game. A step backwards today, and probably a much needed reality check. Good to see @Clb74
Seems as though momentum was interrupted and perhaps focus lost. Add Taylor's injury (which now sounds like it could keep him out for several more games) and it's a recipe for a reality check, as you say Royston. I was not feeling very confident about Charlton winning this one, though I hoped for a point. Now we will have to wait and see how long Taylor is really going to be out for.
We missed Taylor today. Tomer Hemed was dreadful. Miles off the pace, and contributed nothing. The other Brighton lad was comically bad when he came on. Pratley is better than Field, who missed a tackle in the middle which led directly to their winning goal.
I guess we had that one coming. An average performance against average opposition, but they got the goal and defended as if a win depended on it. I would guess the Brighton guys are a way off match fit - a run out or two in the Caribao cup (however you spell it) would have been usefull. But these sort of days are going to happen this season.
I bet you enjoyed the 100 year Valley anniversary programme yesterday, you rank hypocrite. How many souvenir copes did you buy ??
