Whispering Dave is there as the expert but Blackmore makes far more comments about tactics than he does as if he knows best which is beyond his remit as far as i'm concerned, he should just call the action and not much else and I don't believe he is a Saints fan anyway, he's a Brummie isn't he? If he wasn't quite so negative about team selection every time I listen to him it might not grate on me so much.
I’ve never quite understood why coaches wear tracksuits on match days - it’s not like they’re going to play themselves, is it? Then again, fans spend upwards of £50 on a bit of crappy polyester to wear to games, and they’re (we’re) not getting a game either.
just seen Chris Wilder’s interview. I do like him. I agreed with everything he said about the VAR decisions. He’s a decent bloke. Ps. The handball rule is bonkers.
If I'm honest the handball call was decent, I'd be a little bit peeved if it was us. Otherwise a fantastic, blinkered, tribal rant. We've all had them on occasion. Ignores the almost constant niggling pushes and fouls from that bearded chap they've got on loan from Cloggers Utd which were rarely punished. I thought the ref overall had a fine game, hopefully not just because we won. I was again impressed by their manager. I don't always agree with what he says but like the way he says it.
I’m not sure it’s all that bad on there. I thought Mason did give us slightly more. We escaped a couple of yellow cards that I thought should have been given. Looked to me like JWP went down before he was touched in the first half by the dugouts. I’d have been angry if the handball had been not given for us (I know, it’s the rule...) Even in amongst the moaning, there were blades fans in that forum disagreeing saying it wasn’t that bad. No different i here. I laughed at the bloke who when pointed out to him that Wilder thought it was a red card, just said “Well he’s wrong!”
