Think we#ll win and win well as long as Cork is restored to midfield, the only fly in the ointment is the fat woman beating striker they have who is bound to score, if he does someone needs to run on the pitch and hurt him.
I would probably take a draw if offered because Birmingham are dangerous but i'm going for a 2-0 Saints win
Tough test, and I think we're well up for it, provided our back four know each other by now. Crikey, I'd fancy us against practically anyone, at the moment, and I don't think Birmingham are going to be an exception. 3-1 seems to be Saints favourite scoreline, and I don't mind it in the slightest. Something for everyone there.
I think we dismiss Birmingham at our own peril. Yes, they have played a decent Portugese team in the week and not won away much, but I think our defence is a little fragile at the moment, with a lot of changes for numerous reasons.
Taking the rose tinted specs off, I think this is going to be the toughest game so far. Forget Brum's game the other night, as they made 7 changes from the team that dicked Millwall at the weekend. We only closely beat Millwall and were possibly a little lucky against Forest. However, think we are the best passing team bar none in this division...but that doesn't always win games. Teams like Brum will try and close us down and break it up, but unlike Pardew, Mr Adkins has a plan B. Having said that, rose tinted specs back on, I hope we win at a canter: 4-2 ;-)
I think we can beat anyone in this league on our day, but the defence is our weakness. They were a bit dodgy last year as well but teams weren't good enough to take advantage of us. Too often we get into danger and it's our spirit that gets us out of it. Hope we get Harding and/or Richardson back today. Will be interesting at 5 pm today: we could be as low as 5th.
Think it will be another close game, but confident of a victory if Richardson and possibly Harding are back!
Jdub beat me to it, i think a 5-2 or 5-1 ish, once we show them all "who`s the Daddy" in the Championship, but if we win today it`ll be like the 2nd half of last season, teams will just come to defend and try to nick a 1-0
Heart: 2 games in 4 days will wear out their players and after being taught how to play football the other night by Braga, we should smash them. I'll say 4-1 to the might Saints with goals from Lallana, Fonte and two from Sir Rickie of Lambert. Head: An exciting draw with Saints pushin in the final 20 minutes but unfortunate not to make their pressure count. 2-2 with goals from Cork and Fonte.
I reckon another squeeky bum 3 - 2, although i would very much like to keep a clean **** to give defence a bit of confidence. On another note, anyone reckon it will be streamable?
