you are wrong . In England they decided that VAR will only overrule clear and obvious errors ,excluding offside which apparently is a matter of fact , however the VAR officials in their bunker have decided nothing the refs do can constitute a clear & obvious error
VAR is supposed to mitigate against subjective decisions but it seems when to bother reviewing is still subjective. So what is the point?
Was just going by something the commentators said so fully expecting it to be wrong. IMO, it should only be used for clear cut decisions. Subjective issues will always be debated regardless
This is why I was never sold on the idea in the first place. Too many decisions in football are subjective, and always will be, so all it can do is move the subjectivity on a level from the pitch officials and make it someone else's problem.
Bobby was superb today, Salah had a very quiet game today despite scoring. Good result,, still undefeated. Can't ask for anything more
Reporter; top and setting the pace for everyone else? Wijnaldum; that's my game and what the manager wants from me. Think he misunderstood
Bobby had one of those days when every flick came off . Thought we kept our composure much better than in (recent) previous years and just kept playing our normal way till the goals came.
Very good overall, shame to concede but once again so much better than a spirited Newcastle side. It took 20 minutes or so but when we got into our stride it was wave after wave. It's a good sign coming back from a FIB that we find our groove.
