Day two of golf tour. First day was up at 3.30am, airport by half five for a couple of obligatory twilight zone pints (loads of people on the piss, it's bonkers). Flight to Glasgow, bus to Ayr. Couple of pints pre golf then 18 holes of utterly **** golf. Loads of beer after and I sacked it at eleven and went to bed. Got nine hours kip. The rest got in at 4am and are all still pissed. One or two can barely walk, let alone swing a club. We tee off in an hour. Got a feeling I'll win today! Tee off tomorrow is 3 in the afternoon so anything goes tonight.
My plan didn't work! Still played crap. Absolutely superb course at Prestwick today, was worth being fully clear headed for. Will go the other way tonight and see if I play any better half cut tomorrow. Did manage to win a few bob today mind.
Could get a bit boring just whacking little white balls around. Add 10 pints and a dangerous club swinging around near somebody's head and that's proper entertainment.
I used to play when I was a teenager, it's actually really good fun. I'm going to get back into it again when I'm too old to surf and ride my bike without falling off.
Been working down Boro at the import depot. Unloading containers by hand. 5000 cases of high ball glasses in one twat.6 hours for a 5 man team they said.. Me and my lads smashed it in just over 4, with only 3 off us. I was in the container feeding the belt, basically just launching box after box. Hard work pays tho, not supossed to leave there till 10 and drive back...9.10 the bosses came up, shook our hands and said 'we'd love you lot to transfer down here So we wrapped up, had a tab, drove up the motorway, stopped at Macs (again), clocked out at 11... Now considering this was all overtime, it was a decent day. Hard but fair. We did the graft, they treated us well.
Just back from a ride out along the coast path, nights are drawing in now I’ve got lights, so I’ll be off for a few night rides across the moors through sept and Oct evenings. ****ing lovely up there with nobody else around and a sky full of stars
