I applaud your resilience on this thread Beddy, you are almost the lone voice of the Brexiteers on here

For me it is important to differentiate between leavers like yourself who voted to leave for their own genuine and honorable reasons and those who are leavers for very selfish reasons or because of deeply held prejudices. We need to bear in mind that the leavers campaign was much stronger than the remainers, even if some or all of it was lies or distortion or an expression of personal interest

It is as you say difficult because you can't tell us why you voted as you did. I find it difficult to imagine anything that unusual, specific and personal being able to dictate your feelings on something so big

Can't you indicate how it made you vote how you did without disclosing the details which are personal?

Once you gave out that you weren't willing to tell us your personal reasons for leaving the EU I no longer became interested in them. They are obviously personal and emotive. Now think of all the other people you affect adversely by being on the Leave bandwagon. That's not personal - that's real.

It's you and everyone else who has a mistaken idea. Of course you contribute. But forget it. You've dug your heels in. Against all the evidence, you're immovable.

When I look at my family we are a mixture of English, Welsh and Scottish roots with a bit of Irish thrown in which makes us British. More recently we have German, French and African spouses added to our mixed gene pool. I have friends who are Indian, Afghan, Pakistani, Spanish, Polish, Portuguese, Italian and Romanian. I may be an old git but I am not some stupid little Englander. We live on a pokey little island in the north sea and in the modern world we are quite insignificant but what makes us great is the alliances and friends we have in the Commonwealth and the EU as well as the USA. If we tear apart from all or any of these we become much weaker.

What concerns me most is that nobody has actually said how we will be better off outside the EU. We have had some lies and distortions and glib remarks but no hard statements, facts or evidence.

What upsets me most is the shortage already of EpiPen's which my granddaughter needs to control her allergy and some of my medication is already in short supply too. These could be matters of life and death. You do not glibly dismiss these concerns you provide hard evidence that all will be fine. There is already evidence of the disaster that Brexit will be and I absolutely despair when I hear ordinary people interviewed on the radio who say all will be fine and we just have to get on with Brexit. FFS how does some ordinary Joe know this? The gullibility of some of our fellow citizens astonishes me.

Reflecting on this the other day I came to the conclusion that I cannot be British as I think so very differently from the people who keep pushing for Brexit.

Finally when the **** has any Tory done anything in the best interest of the ordinary working person. They look after their frinds in the City and themselves and the rest of us can go hang.

Post of the week, Godders. We should get Led By Donkeys to project this text on to the wall of the Palace of Westminster.

The shortages of medication has nothing to do with Brexit............They're just not making enough or the raw materials are in short supply. Remember these shortages have been around for over a year now. Just making the point you cant blame everything on Brexit. The EU is in the same boat.......

This is the key for me. I’ve mentioned it myself before and I keep asking. I won’t stop asking, it because I’m an argumentative little twit like terrier, who never lets go of a bone, but because this time it is massively important. It’s not a game or a bit of fun on a football forum. It’s my life. It’s my families lives. It’s my friend and countrymen and European comrades lives.

I turned 50 last month. I’d guess that I have 25 years left. I worry that will be a financial struggle for me and that’s not what I plan to have for the rest of my life. I don’t want to have to work for all of that time, but I’m suspecting I might.

Everyday I get more convinced that it is just blinkered xenophobia.

...But not Type 1 Diabetes? Surely that is the question here? This can be blamed on Brexit. Not wishing to downplay the menopause (trust me I would never do that...MrsNo7 is 55 so I know!), a shortage of a non life threatening drug (though have you seen Mrs No7 on one?) is different than a self inflicted shortage of a life threatening one.

Remember, this is peoples' lives we are playing with. This is back to the 'We think we'll be ok'. We need to know before we screw it up. Every single report I have seen has said we won't be. Yes, we may recover in 10-15 years, but as Fats said, I am 50 these are my Golden years, and our children are in the 18-30 range and this is their most formative study/work time and we are screwing it up. This will have the knock on effect of screwing up the next generation and so on. And for what? To 'take back our country'?

Sorry all Brexiteers, in my opinion that is quite simply bollocks.

    Just my opinion.
