Of course you would be right, if it was a worst case scenario. It is actually the 'base scenario' - they just changed the title, which isn't dodgy whatsoever! This again proves my point re: the media. None of the tabloids reported it! But the original document which was leaked in early August was entitled 'base scenario', i.e. what we can expect to happen. Before release, the title was changed to 'worst case scenario'. Isn't that strange to you? I've never once said don't believe all of the media. I just think we should learn what is good and what is bad. Simply put, avoid the tabloids. I even put up examples of 'good' media that support Brexit just to prove it isn't driven through bias. Also see my comments above re: your last few posts of the document.
Irish border: What Yellowhammer document says: The government's planned short-term solution for the border is likely to be unsustainable because of the "economic, legal and biosecurity risks" it presents Trade between Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic will be "severely disrupted" Some businesses will stop trading, some will move and some will experience higher costs that they may pass on to customers Agriculture will be hardest hit, leading to job losses, protests and direct action with road blockages Growth of the "illegitimate economy" around the border "where criminal and dissident groups already operate" What's being done: The UK government has said it is committed not to have any physical infrastructure at the border between Ireland and Northern Ireland. On 13 March it published its contingency plan to avoid a hard border in the event of a no-deal Brexit. It said it would not bring in new checks or controls, or require customs declarations for any goods moving from Ireland to Northern Ireland, in the event of no-deal. But this will only be a temporary measure while negotiations take place to find longer-term solutions. To protect people's health, some plant and animal products that come into Northern Ireland from outside the EU, via Ireland, will still need to be checked. The UK government has said these checks will not happen at the border itself, but it has not specified exactly where they will take place. It remains unclear what will happen to goods travelling from Northern Ireland to Ireland. Under EU rules, checks would normally be required at the point certain goods enter the EU single market. The Irish government says it is securing additional space, and has recruited more customs and agriculture staff to allow for a "significant increase in checks and procedures".
Public order: What Yellowhammer document says: Protests and counter-protests likely across the UK May be a rise in public disorder and community tensions Information-sharing between UK and EU law enforcement will be disrupted What is being done: The National Police Coordination Centre will plan the allocation of officers across the country although it has said there has been no intelligence to suggest that any protests will not be peaceful. The government has also established the International Crime and Coordination Centre, which is supposed to help the police cope with the change to the UK's relationship with law enforcement agencies in the EU.
Simply put, avoid the ones who are against your opinion Have you seen the leaked document for yourself? Genuine question. I haven't. I've just seen what was released today or yesterday.
A Michael Gove update. 'The revelations were played down by the Government who said the report was old. Michael Gove, the cabinet minister in charge of no deal planning, said the Government had taken “"significant additional steps to ensure that we are prepared to leave on October 31 deal or no-deal”. He said: "Any prudent Government will always plan for absolutely the worst case. "In the last three weeks there has been a significant acceleration in what we've been doing. "Yes, of course there are challenges in leaving without a deal, but there are also opportunities after October 31 if we have left with a clean break."
Absolutely not. Do you seriously think the tabloids have any kind of good journalism? There are loads of good sources who are against my opinion. I've seen what was released yesterday and read the whole thing.
Michael Gove got caught out and has since admitted that he contradicted himself. It is 'base scenario' i.e. what's expected to happen, not 'worst case scenario'.
'Operation Yellowhammer was developed by the Civil Contingencies Secretariat, though COBRA took control on 25 March 2019.[20] This will be organised via a Command and control structure (C3).[20] This will co-ordinate:[20] Up to 30 UK Government departments If a Government department's contingency plans are inadequate Operation Yellowhammer will take over planning and decisions for that department. Approximately 40 local resilience forums in England and Wales[20][5] Similar bodies in Northern Ireland and Scotland Governing authorities for the United Kingdom, overseas territories and crown dependencies Co-ordination with impacted industries and sectors. Major decisions will be taken by the European Union Exit and Trade (Preparedness) Sub-Committee, set up in January 2019[29] and chaired by the prime minister. It will have wide-ranging powers to order emergency measures, including use of the military, and overriding regulations.[5]' Conceived in March by the previous government, leaked in August days after this government formed, published in September, out of date, been developed and around for 6 months, new one to follow with all of the up to date information shortly..
Nope, you’re a dimlow, that cant grasp anything. You made a stupid comment to follow up your previous stupid statement a while back “let’s vote the Brexit party in the euro election to show the unelected lot” you can’t even understand what is wrong in that statement.
Bercow being neutral again. https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/en...law-boris-johnson_uk_5d7a8d0ae4b06db3d76bd9a6
Again, where have you got 'base scenario' from? I know you said a leaked document but I asked earlier if you have seen the leaked document yourself and you didn't answer. You said you seen yellowhammer yesterday and read all of that. But if you haven't seen the leaked document yourself, can it be trusted? I mean, who leaked it? What are their intentions behind leaking it? Ignore
I just seen the 10pm news tonight and it just showed how yellowhammer got leaked. Some prat of an MP had a note book hanging out of his bag and someone from the press with a good lens snapped it. The reporter, just said that the info in that leaked document was based on what might happen on a no deal. Edit... Just been said on Question Time that yellowhammer was done under previous PM. Since Boris has took over, he has given yellowhammer to Gove who has apparently been working on it day and night and Gove has changed it to worse case scenario. I can see why Rob thinks its the same document but just changed to say 'worse case'. But I doubt its exactly the same as Rob thinks. I think Rob you are being a bit cynical here. Just my opinion
