Our experience didn’t stop me working with the EU either as it was a necessity.

I'm not getting at you by the way Beddy - It is just frustrating to me as to me this whole palaver was avoidable. I also know there are somethings that people will never agree on.

Trouble is it is not ordinary people making the final decisions and acting on them.

Indeed, and the way capitalism is going it is benefiting fewer and fewer people, with a core bunch reaping everything. This is the whole falsification with leaving the EU. Sure, it'll be great for a few. They're the ones who engineered and campaigned for it. And the people who praise them for doing it should give one pause as to its validity - Donald Trump, for one. If this crook's administration is still in power, if the horror show actually happens, then be prepared to be royally screwed when it comes to negotiating trade deals with the USA. He'll look after the ones who made it easy for him, until they cross him. What a horrific scenario. Democracy at work, eh?

I'm not talking about a deal. I'm talking about remaining in the EU. Doing a deal is just a sugar coated way of leaving. Deal or no deal is still leaving the EU and both are a backward step. The only deal I am interested in is one where Britain is still in the EU, where everyone is under an improved situation, making and steering policy. That's a good deal.

And think about this for a moment. That idiot of a PM, with his potential no-deal stance. Has it not occurred to anyone that by warning that a no-deal would be on the cards if a deal can't found, that he's trying to make a deal with the EU acceptable to Remainers? I don't want Remainers to think "oh thank goodness we got a deal, and avoided a no-deal" Don't be fooled by this. You still end up out of the EU. And any exit deal can easily be eroded away over time, by those who campaign that it gets in the way. The only "acceptable deal" is to stay within the EU.

What's on my mind? ...... Birds!

The male yellowhammer has a bright yellow head, streaked brown back, chestnut rump, and yellow under parts.

The song of the cock yellowhammer is a series of short notes, gradually increasing in volume and followed by one or two more protracted notes. It is often represented as "A little bit of bread and no cheese"

I suppose we should contemplate getting our gardens into a condition where we can "dig for victory". That should satisfy some jingoistic urge in some people. And it may be necessary anyway.

This is it for me, as well, only in my case it is my eldest sister, and in her case the Express.
This afternoon she took offence because I posted something that showed that none of the main four right wing papers, Mail, Sun, Express and Telegraph, carried the Scottish court decision on prorogation on their front pages, to which I added a comment along the lines of
“The readers of these papers must live in a parallel world to those that actually get to read the truth about what is going on.”
She gets offended by this sort of unimportant banter type of thing, yet not once (yet) have I castigated her for supporting any kind of Brexit, despite there being clear evidence that it may, especially if no deal, impact on my wife’s survival chances, as a result of issues with medical supplies. We import around 80% of medical radioisotopes, from Belgium, France and the Netherlands. They are used for many things, but in my wife’s case cancer treatment.
Oh, and as a supporter of the Tories, who have seriously underfunded the NHS for 10 years, she moans about there not being a specialist, for her health condition, in Southampton, causing her to travel to London for periodic assessments. She doesn’t understand that Brexit will make matters worse.

Way ahead of you there mate. The purple tomatoes are a Burgundian variety grown from seeds obtained from a friend in France, so may be a bit rarer post Brexit.

What’ I find crazy is that you are prepared to jeopardise your family’s well being. All the evidence says they will be worse off and possibly for many many years.

You were not voting to like the EU, but to do what is best for your family and the rest of the country.

When I voted for out I didn’t expect us to waste nigh on four years without preparations.
