The more I listen to Michael Buffer, the more I want to puke in a bucket.

    Campbell's a big lad.

I'm out so haven't tried it myself tonight but totalsportek is usual pretty reliable for free streams. That's where I usually watch the boxing

I don't know how true it is, but a gent named Robert Little who writes for a site called BSO has stated that a Canelo Alvarez - Sergey Kovalev bout will be announced tomorrow.

If this is true, it'll be a massive challenge for Canelo. After starting his career at 140 pounds, he moved to 147 then onto 154 where he spent sometime. He then spent 5 years fighting at 160. Then last year he stepped up to 168 when he beat Rocky Fielding.

I should imagine that Canelo will have to fight at 175 against Kovalev, who's spent his career at 175. Maybe they can make a catch weight at about 170 -172, who knows. If it's for the full belt, I suppose they'll do 175.

Alvarez is only 5' 8'' while Kova stands 6 feet. It'll be some fight if the news is for real.

After seeing Kovalev in his last fight against Yarde I think Canelo will walk through him. Even though Yarde was pretty poor he exposed enough of Kovalev to show he's way past his best and Canelo is in a different league.

Yet another story coming out with regards Floyd Mayweather. This time it is rumoured that he is to have another 'exhibition' fight. This time in China. There's a press conference set to be held in China on 18th September where they are expecting to announce the 'fight'. Set to take place sometime in 2020. His opponent is set to be found via a recruitment campaign to find someone suitable. No further details have yet to come out.

I know he's not everybodys cup of tea but I'm a big fan of Mayweather, he was a master of his craft and I loved watching him at work in the ring. That been said though, he hasn't had a meaningful fight in a very very long time and if he carries on with these farcical fights then he's going to end up being remembered as a bit of a joke even if he keeps is '0' in tact.

Yeah I think it's a bit sad, especially as he doesn't need the money. Maybe he misses the limelight.

Ruiz showing power and speed a month before that fateful night last June. He's a serious fighter. I can't believe how much I underestimated the man.

One fight I am very much looking forward to his set to take place on 14th December and that's the IBF lightweight title fight between current champion Richard Commey and exciting prospect Teofima Lopez. Apart from holding the IBF strap the winner also looks set to be rewarded with a showdown against Lomachenkco at the beginning of next year.

I don't really know all that much about these guys Smoke. I know a lot of Mexican fans were are big on Lopez, they were/are referring to him as the next super star. As mentioned, I haven't really looked at them too much, but it'll be an interesting fight, although I'm not sure if Lopez is the sensation they are hoping for. Time will telI suppose.

Before the Commey/Lopez fight, one of my favourite active fighters steps back into the ring. Artur Beterbiev puts his IBF light heavyweight title on the line in a unification fight with WBC champion Olexsandr Gvozdyk. Both fighters are unbeaten, Gvozdyk record reads 17-0 with 14 by ko and Beterbiev is 14-0 with all 14 by ko. Due to take place on October 18th. I Can't wait.

Hes egotistical and narcissistic. I was never a fan of him, but I could appreciate his skills.

Obviously some boxing organizations such as the WBA, WBC, IBF etc have more cred than others. One of the lesser lights is the International Boxing Organization, an outfit that has some serious fighters listed on it's rankings, but it's an outfit that seems to struggle when it comes to matching decent fighters for many their titles. An IBO title fight to be staged on Germany this coming Saturday highlights the problems they have. Their Super Lightweight rankings have some serious names on it. Ranked 1 is Postel, 2 Catterall, 3 Hooker, 4 Baranchyk, 5 Matias, 6 Ulysse, 7 Troyanovsky, 8 Cano, 9 Mimoune, 10 Flanagan. None of these guys will contest the vacant title. I don't know how many of the top 10 have other engagements, but you'd think somebody would want a world title, even if it didn't carry the same prestige as the other sanctioning bodies.

Saturday's Title fight will feature the IBO ranked 22 Rico Mueller and 38 ranked Jeremias Ponce. It doesn't reflect well on the IBO, but good luck to both men. The winner will have a memory and an honour that'll give him pleasure for the rest of his life. He will forever be known as a world champion.

Well, well, well, it look as though we might have a fight worth salivating over. Maybe. There's a possibility that great Manny Pacquiao might fight the 4 division champion Mikey Garcia. The Garcia camp have admitted that negotiations are underway.

Peter Garcia on Mikey: “Whenever he doesn’t have a fight, he spars two times a week…but since two weeks ago, he’s been coming five times a week. My grandpa said, ‘He’s going to get a date soon. He doesn’t come on Tuesdays when he doesn’t have a fight coming up.’ It’s still in negotiations. It’s a fight that me, my dad and my grandpa like at welterweight."

It's not really a world championship is it? I mean it carries less value than being a diamond champion or a silver champion.

Was very disappointed in Garcia's performance against Spence Jr on his welterweight debut so I hope if he does fight Pacman then he shows the quality version of himself that we all know exists

Has there ever been a fighter in history that has all of the attributes of RJJ?

Have you seen that Nigel Benn has signed to comeback for a fight. He's set to fight an ex world champion who last fought two years ago. My first thought was Roy Jones Jr.
