The debt's not hidden, it was £95.6m in the last accounts (loans to Morris) and has apparently increased considerably since then. Then there's the dodgy stadium sale for £80m, which Morris now owns personally and leases back to the club. Unless Morris is handing the stadium back, or writing off a load of debt, the clubs not even worth a quid.
Such much debt and less bums on seats....Footie is on the slippery slope down the toilet....and not just HCAFC.
If you look back I quoted a famous instance of the word if,,,being used by Sparta to Philip of Macedon. High Peak Tiger said he had to google it to find out what I was referring to. I then replied to High Peak Tiger saying he had to google it saying this is where the word laconic came from (Sparta, whose leaders were renowned for their brevity in replies being in Lakonia.) One of those things I was told by a teacher at school who I always found interesting that has stuck. A shame things that would have been more useful didn’t.
"If" ... was realized when Phil's son Alex (yer Great) toppled the Spartans a little later. Longevity overcame brevity !
I went to a Secondary Modern School so my education was very spartan, no Classics, but I did learn how to dig a bastard trench and make a dovetail joint.
So why the snarky comment about needing to Google, aimed at me and another poster? Bit unnecessary wasn’t it?
He wasn't saying you had to Google it. What you've done here is taken unnecessary offence at a perceived slight and had a dig at people who liked a joke that seemingly, you didn't get.
