Just saw this reply Rob. Is that the best you can do to support your stance on here? A 10 second clip of Raab replying with obviously the only answer he could possibly give on the present media merrygoround?

Both you, me and probably everyone else on here knows eff all about what's going on behind the scenes, and your assumption that nothing actually is because a defector like Rudd says so, is naive in the extreme.

Admittedly, others on here like me who actually believe there is a huge effort to get this over the line with an improved deal that suits us and not just the EU may be equally naive - only time will tell.

You can’t negotiate a deal in the public domains, the EU don’t, they discuss tactics behind closed doors and then stand united in public, and they rang rings around us.Since Boris has taken over that’s the stance he’s taken. The only ones who know what’s going on are the negotiating team.

on Friday I went to get another round of coffee's teas at our usual coffee morning and forgot what oe of them wanted … on returning to the room they had hi jacked the my key board and were about to send a post .. they don't do posts on here .. normally, It was addressed to BCFCROB and whilst I agreed in the main with what it said, after all the main scribe is a professor /lecturer on pyscology and human behavior it was to blunt in describing his attitude regarding lack of understanding, need to have last word belief he knows more than others and can never be wrong in his beliefs[ pyscological narcissism ] and a few other observations ….

AT 75 years old or more we still have not used all of our brains memory cells, but at that age hidden in amongst them that we have used is a vast amount of knowledge, a bit like a .zip file ! when some die off the knowledge is often replaced because we have more than 1 link to the same information so a bit like periodically refreshing a computer ...brings it up to date...

If none of us have any idea what's going on in negotiations, then I assume you Brexiteers are happy to take back all of the claims that the EU 'bullied us' and 'treated us badly'. After all, you've all claimed it.

Until then, we will just have to assume that the countless leaks and the anecdotes from MP's and government workers themselves just are just magically coincidentally aligning :emoticon-0100-smile.

No, nobody on here has any idea at all about what is really happening. It's quite natural that everyone is making assumptions which align to their own beliefs on the subject. The problem I and looks like most on here is having is that you think you are always right.

It wasn't difficult to bully someone who was negotiating on our behalf but didn't want to leave anyway. The EU didn't have to wield the big stick when someone readily bends over to receive it. They bludgeoned May into agreeing a deal in a way they wouldn't have got away with someone like Johnson and his team sitting on the other side of the table. It would never have got into this pitiful state.

Your second sentence is quite interesting. Looks like all these "leaks and anecdotes" are only "coincidently aligning" in your own head.

They are treating us as a 3rd country , not a friend and Allie, unless we do the same we won’t get a decent deal. We’ve been a bit naive that’s all.

Brexiteers: "We want our Parliamentary sovereignty back!"

    Bercow: *upholds Parliamentary sovereignty*

    Brexiteers: "Bercow's a big prick!"

All he did was his job, correctly. The papers tell you to hate Bercow, and what a shock, you hate Bercow!

You seem to have an obsession with the papers, I personally don’t read the papers , just because people disagree with your point of view it doesn’t mean the blindly follow the papers , it just means they see thinks differently , we are all capable of taking many factors into account and arriving at a different conclusion to you, if you can’t understand that it says more about your lack of reasoning than ours.

I wasn't bending the truth wiz, it was a joke post :emoticon-0148-yes:. I'd be impressed if he bribed all 80 odd thousand people he spoke to there.

Maybe it's pure coincidence that every party the papers have backed since the 80's have subsequently got into power then... The papers have never lost an election!

If they had no influence then no one would ever pay for advertising. Politicians wouldn't get into bed with Murdoch and they wouldn't influence policy to suit their rich friends in the media. Anybody who even gets close to suggesting we should cut down on tax havens or increase corporation tax gets publicly vilified within days. It's not a coincidence! They want to get their puppets into power, and as the most wilful capitalist puppets, the Tories mostly win. Blair was exactly the same with 'New Labour'.

Why are Farage, etc pushing so hard for Hard Brexit? It's because they know it's the easiest and quickest way that they can avoid the new EU legislation clamping down on tax havens. They don't want Brexit ASAP for you. They want it for themselves and their rich mates. No wonder Farage is so keen to hide where the Brexit Party get their funding from....

Or maybe they reflect how people feel, either way to suggest individually, me , Wiz , Sparky or whoever hold views purely based on what papers say , but people who agree with you can somehow see through them and make their own judgements is nonsensical.

Besides I would suggest social media plays a far more important role these days than the written press.
