It's really only Russia and Spain (and Serbia of course) who will object to playing Kosovo as they don't recognise the country because it encourages breakaway sections of their countries. Kosovo is probably the only country in the world where Tony Blair and Bill Clinton are heroes! i'm sure they can be kept apart. Not likely a Spain / Kosovo final! but who knows? worth a read https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49625260
Yeah I had a read of that earlier, as you say it's a good read. Found it more interesting that 4 of the hosts don't recognise them as a nation which could make it slightly trickier. Is there much chance of Serbia qualifying? Been slack on the qualifiers so far.
Well my Schadenfreude batteries are fully charged now so I'll swop at HT I think. To be honest it's been awful football and Scotland look devoid of skill, enthusiasm and even effort from some players. Ground's not anywhere near full, I don't blame the fans for staying away if this is the fare on offer.
Gawd knows with the current rules. If the Moon is in Cancer, Venus in Leo and there's a R in the month they probally have. I remember when football was simple, or maybe I was.
England U21s beat Kosova 2-0, but 2nd goal was in the 92 minute. England were technically better and looked on top for much of the game, but they needed that 2nd goal....Kosovo had their moments...especially in the last 15 mins.
Bill Clinton will always be loved in Ireland due to his work in the peace process! Scotland Georgia did us a favour last night. They always seem to help us. Very tough trip there, hopefully sneak a win. My 3rd time going to Tbilisi in 5 years. Great city but hope we don't get them again for a while!
Kosovo are not another San Marino. Former Yugoslavian nations are always decent footballing teams, and to put it in perspective, the population of Kosovo is the same as Slovenia, who are always tough to play against.
