It's Monday 9th September, and here are the Leeds Utd headlines Leeds leading the way in many of the Championship Stats After 6 league games, Leeds have had 106 shots at goal; more than any other Championship team. They also lead the way for shots on target with 31. Realistically, what kind of conversion would you be looking with? After months of painstaking negotiations, both sides have reached a compromise, and the 23yo who has been at Leeds since 2010 is due to commit the next five years of his playing career to the Whites. Meanwhile, Stuart Dallas is in the last year of his contract at Elland Road. The 28yo Northern Ireland International is keen to remain part of Bielsa's plans for the future. Morning all Looking at the stats the things that stand out for me are WBA and Fulham along with Leeds are by far the best footballing teams. WBA have 2 players ahead of Pablo in passing stats. Also notice that chances created is headed by Klich and we have already done the Bamford stats to death yesterday and think we agree that a fit Patrick means we get a lot of goals. 2 other stories today are interesting and one is very true and one I hope is true. Hope the story about Bielsa now decided to start Costa is true but he intriguing story is about the player Ouasim Bouy a player we got from Juventus in 2017. Bouy was in the Dutch league playing for PEC Zwolle where is turned in some fantastic stats from 26 games, 7 goals and 24 assists and then Juve came in for him. He didn't get a start with them only a few sub appearances but did nothing so they offloaded him. Orta obviously had seen something of his time in the Holland and decided Leeds could get him back to what he did so took him on a free transfer. He was sent out on loan to Cultural Leonasa in Spain and played 4 times and to be frank wasn't even good enough for Spanish 3rd Division. Last season we sent him on loan back to Zwolle where he was a hero but he only started 19 games with no assists or goals. We now have him back and nobody wants to know him and we can't offload him unless we cancel his contract BUT HE STILL HAS 2 YEARS LEFT!! I can only assume this bloke has no self respect, or is unbalanced or just a lazy twat wanting a nice wage without doing anything. We terminated Anita's contract but that was after a negotiation, and Anita has now got himself another club. Bouy is deffo a strange signing Also looks like somebody has copied and pasted my contract sticky into whoever makes the Breakfast thread which Elland uses
U23s play this afternoon down at Palace, so expecting to see some new faces as we have players away on International duty. So look out for Hudson, Huggins, McCarron....
It now transpires that the deal with Man City for the loan of Jack Harrison had a clause inserted that means Leeds Utd have the right to buy him for an agreed xed price if we so want. That figure is expected to be in excess of £10m which would mean a minimum lay out of +£25m for Harrison and Costa. If we dont get promoted and we don't get investment we would pay £15m for Costa and then have a fire sale.....
Loving the look of this team and we get to see McCarron and McKinstrey as well as baby wonderkid Huaghland. Plenty of U18s in this team today
'I am heartbroken': Graffiti group claim responsibility for covering up 14 'Burley Banksy' Leeds United murals please log in to view this image The 'Burley Banksy' has been left devastated after 14 of his Leeds United murals were painted over by a graffiti group - including a Gary Speed tribute on what would have been his 50th birthday. Andy McVeigh, 49, has spent the last 12 months coming up with creative designs to paint over graffiti or brighten up the dull electrical boxes and bollards. please log in to view this image Andy@pantsdanny This is what they did to the box I did for Gary Speed. They did this on what would have been his 50th birthday.#lufc please log in to view this image Dubbed the 'Burley Banksy' by his friends due to his art-style and elusiveness, Andy creates pieces for iconic moments throughout the history of the club. However, 14 pieces of Andy's work has been covered over the weekend. The pieces covered include a poignant mural tribute to Gary Speed - which was painted over on the morning of his birthday by the group. Now, 'Leeds Residents Against Graffiti' have claimed responsibility for the cover-up. please log in to view this image In an email sent to the Yorkshire Evening Post, a member of the anonymous group said: "We had a trial run using red hammerite on two boxes which had been covered by graffiti. "The vandal then decided to repaint them, which was a foolish decision. "This looks much more dignified than the childish scrawl of a man who should be old enough to know better. "Let's have an end to this graffiti." please log in to view this image Andy has been left in disbelief by the group's actions. He said: "I am gutted for the fans. "I didn't sleep a wink last night after I found out, I just feel sick. "So many people say the pieces are part of their match day experience. "I can't believe it." The group said they have covered the art - which Andy believes is the entire Leeds United section of his work - with 'black paint'. They added: "It is horrible stuff but nothing will stick to it now.
Half time 0-0 at Palace Meslier putting on an outstanding display with at least 3 top drawer saves. Leeds getting the better of the first half with Haugland coming close, Casey also and fine displays from McKinstrey and McCarron. Struijk solid but booked
Roberts comes on for the 2nd half and McCarron goes off and so far after 79mins Roberts is in a different league and looks pure class. Plenty of tricks and flicks and attempts at goal. Boy wonder Haugland could have wrapped this up and young McKinstrey is playing really well.
Need some help again guys (and girls). I'm probably in the minority but I do like international football when one of the home nations is playing. Dilemma is who do I watch tonight...Northern Ireland or Scotland ?
Full time 0-0 Still unbeaten and with a depleted team due to Internationals, Leeds Utd used many U18s to good effect. Man of the match was Meslier who pulled off some brilliant saves and even saved a late penalty, awesome performance. Young Casey was playing DM and Phillips would have been proud of him and normally hes a CB. McKinstrey was close to being MOM and especially in the 2nd half he was unplayable at times. Tyler Roberts was a class act for his 45minutes and could have won it. Boy wonder Haugland could have won it a couple of times too
Well they're playing Germany and Belgium respectively so surely there will be something worth watching. Maybe watch NI and see if they can stuff the germans. Plus my grandma was irish, albeit from over the border, so think that probably settles it. But hang on, there was my great uncle McJammy who fished and trawled all his life with never an ill word said about him. M'mm, this is going to need some more thought.
Afternoon all, it seems ages since we last played, far too long a break when you lost your last match and are not sitting top of the league
If you choose the Jocks you will see the demise of Cooper as he is told to revert back to pre Bielsa and lump it and hoofball. So Scotland for me is Sturgeon so not palatable. NI is young Alfie and Dallas using Bielsaball and to be fair fk the backstop
