Yeah you're not wrong at all with that. My issue is that Johnson is clearly taking us blindly towards no deal. All you have to do is look at Amber Rudd's resignation statement to show that in reality he has no intention of getting a deal whatsoever, and that's what I take issue with. Call it Project Fear all you like (aimed at others mainly), it doesn't take away from the fact that no deal is going to absolutely shaft us. If this great deal exists (as BJ himself has said numerous times), why is he making no attempt at getting it?
Rob where has Boris said there is no deal, his advisers I'm sure are trying for a deal, but I'm sure they are looking for a deal that suits the UK and not the un-elected mob in Brussels.
He hasn't. He's been pretending he wants a deal, but every cabinet leak and every statement from resigning MP's shows that they haven't spoken to the EU for months. He's lying to the electorate and going entirely for no deal. Of course, if you only read the Mail and The Sun then you're not going to know that.
FFS Rob, what do you expect his oponenets to say? They didn't "leak" and issue "resigning statements" because they wanted to pat him on the back. These leakers and resigners are people who disagree with his tactics and policies. That doesn't make them factually correct. It also doesn't make Boris wrong and them right - unless of course as I suspect, you want to believe them.
I didn't know Boris was a chum of the IRA, friends with Hezbollah, mates with Hamas, a supporter of Venezuela & Cuba, has sympathy for Putin and Russia who murdered people in Salsbury with Chemical weapons, protested when the leader of the USA our greatest nation friend made a state visit but sat down and had a jolly old time with President Xi Jinping leader of China who is killing and denying Muslims their human rights. Oh no I forgot, got mixed up there, it's the liar, the reptile Corbyn who is their supporter, who breaks manifesto promises and said he would honour the majority vote, the 17.2 million. For all of Johnson's faults he is nowhere near as treacherous as Corbyn who has flip floped, twisted, and lied consistently to gain power and is an anti semite, I would vote for Boris everytime rather than have that slimy creep leading our great nation.
Here we go again.... Have a little read of this: https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/o...qdlJVYSKda-uHoF-4poUgmScqrf8S4D3dQ2KK0EWYtUpA I dare say most people on this forum are male, aged 30/40+. Those most likely to read or be influenced by people who read newspapers. There's a clear reason why there's such a disparity between age groups. The older generations consume a completely different type and range of media to the Twitter generation. Somehow, they've turned good words into bad! Look up the definition of the words liberal, feminist, etc. You'd be a total d*ck if you weren't both of those, yet they have such negative connotations these days purely because of the press. You don't think Corbyn is a reptile. You've been told to think Corbyn is a reptile. And it's bleeding obvious. And I don't even like the bloke!
Recently you've called cjs a numpty, you have called me daft and I'm too old or incapable and I have to be told what to do or believe, I keep trying to imform you that because I am older or more mature than you I am quite capable of thinking through information and coming to my own decisions, I choose what to read, I choose who I wish to listen to, I choose what I watch and I have made a balanced decision via my own experiences, way of life and choices, nothing to do with a few brainwashed, jumped up little farts brainwashed by Millitant who keep tellimg people like me, we are to old, we have had our time, we have no education and are too thick to think for ourselves. I think there are sensible and trustworthy people in the Labour party, they have values, traditions, honour, honesty and are proud of their nation, the scumbag you seem to prefer has none of these virtiues, he is as cold and deadly as a snake, he is on a mission of power, he is selfish, he has made promises of bribes to you younger people at football stadia, as a support act at Glastonbury, he is a popularist, a liar, a coward and I hope he is blown out of the water when we get a chance to vote the little **** out of existence. I read none of that in the media, that is straight from my own old heart and I have a son and daughter of my own, not far off of your age so I am pretty well up to date with younger thinking, both educated with degrees and doing well and I can even keep up with them when we are walking, can't be that bad.
Same here Wiz my kids are 26 and 23 both don't want a unelected mob in Brussels governing the way we go about our business. Those horrible wars long before they were born were fought for our freedom the younger generation seem to forget that.

Nope not good enough for me Rob. I am not trying to be awkward here but I clearly heard at the beginning of that clip, him say they have been engaging with the EU. Just nothing is down on paper, for obvious reasons. The fact its not on paper doesn't mean there hasn't been talks!!!! On top of that, I keep hearing from the EU and even today from the Irish leader who is currently with Boris right now, say they haven't received anything credible from Boris. To me that means there has been correspondence after all. As for the reasons why its not on paper, I think its pretty clever because there is a national security breach within the government. Someone keeps leaking classified details to the press, which so far, has only end up doing more harm than good towards any negotiations. Why someone is doing this, we will probably disagree on. You will probably think its someone putting the country first because you don't want brexit. I think its probably someone who is a sore loser and wants to disrupt any deal to force no brexit. Either way, someone shouldnt be leaking this stuff to the press.
I think it's because no one has a bloody clue. We all know we can't have a border there and therefore we don't actually take back control of our borders. I mean, I probably first mentioned this a year ago on here and got shot down, but what do I know?
We all know no deal will hurt us. But we disagree for how long. I feel once we are gone (if on no deal terms) we need to unite as a country and try and make the best of it. A few years later, it would be short term pain for long term gain. However, if we still have protests, within parliament, we will still have a divided country. A divided country will take a lot longer to fix and that short term pain will end up long term. People need to let it go and unite to make Britain strong again.
Despite Remoaner scaremongering, Norway's sovereign wealth fund is committed to investing in Brexit Britain with fund manager Yngve Slyngstad relaxed about a WTO Brexit. The fund controls over a trillion in assets including 1.5% of global listed stocks! leave.eu/get-involved please log in to view this image
CJS .. this "Brexit thing" is unique it is the only one because no one has ever wanted to leave before so no one knows what the procedure is … it is a bit like a pioneering surgery … the first patient gets to vote yes do it or no don't … in both cases the vote was yes. LEADING UP TO THE VOTE was the consultations .. for surgery if you don't do it you will /might die, maybe become a vegetable or maybe crippled for the rest of your life .. Brexit it was basically we want our own country back and don't want to become a satellite state of a federal European super state dictated to by unelected individuals [dictators ] in both cases there was the unknown [ neither had been attempted before ] so the vote was simple IN or OUT / OPERATE or NOT. both cases had they been left alone " the scaremongering would be from the "do it's" and if doing it the scaremongering would come from the dont's when "placing your vote " you were not voting for " if it gets complicated then stop!" [ no deal / abhorted op part way through! ] you voted leave or remain, there is no if we remain we want better conditions and not get screwed financially or overloaded with the demands of the FEDERAL super power LEAVE or REMAIN This became, and you heard it every week from Corbolliks, and sometimes daily I WANT TO BE PM, GE now , and a whole load of OTHERS personal agenda's BEING PAMPERED TO not those they were supposed to be representing [published in loads of media ] at any cost, and slowly screwed up the negotiations to the point they are today. By "pretending they wanted an election" thus fuelling the opposition into thinking "hey I WOULD cease to be a shadow, " or what an opportunity for us to cash in on our little party to actually get more than a couple of MP's they found they couldn't have both, so have now backed themselves into a corner where they have to say "no leaving and no GE" and bugger democracy i want what I want for me …. CJS backing up your post not against it ...
