Can anyone tell me what the official time allowded for taking a throw in is? That twat Delap seemed to be taking forever to clean the ball every time they got a throw in. I dare say if you totted it all up there's be a canny bit of time wasted.
cant help you mate, sure one of the stattos will post it later, no matter what you say though its an effective weapon in the wrong hands, as many have found out. ugly but effective, cant knock it really, it suits them
I reckon Delap is wasted as a football player, should be on a basketball court. FIFA should bring the rule in that a throw in cannot directly do into the 18 yard box - after all it is football is it not? And how about banning the back pass to the goal keeper- would cut time wasting- just a thought - so don't flame me ok.
Read the post you prick, do i complain about losing to Stoke? no, now **** off back to your own board. It was a genuine question, if you don't know the answer then do one.
Complaining about time wasted by Delap, come off it mate, boring me to death with your excuses for losing a football game you Sunderland fans.
Does this mean if we (Newcastle fans) complain about Newcastle articles being posted on the Sunderland forum you will delete them? You still havn't answered my question by the way.
I can answer both questions with the same answer, its up to your moderator. I'm taking the easy way out now and logging off, jsut not happy with the way this board is going today but that may be my problem. I will remove the problem by logging off till later, sort of banning myself for a while.
I think he's a closet mackem or a wannabee mackem, seems to spend more time on our board than he does the scums.
Stoke fan in PEACE guys. Sj-39 Steady on mate, that's a bit strong. We're not Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea but to say a disgrace is a bit OTT. As for the origninal question How long is Delap allowed? HONEST oppinion from a Stoke fan of many seasons. I DON'T like it any more than YOU do! Many fans around me don't like it either. He's past it, too slow, can't pick a decent pass and the sooner T.P. rertires him, the better cos we can then replace DELAP with a half decent ball playing midfielder. Like, Glen Whelan 2 or 3 more I could mention but, don't get to start often enough. It bores my to death and even worse. It isn't working now! For what it's worth Mackem's. We were very fortunate yesterday no doubts about it. But I would like to ask you this. WHY are you still asking about Rory Delaps long throws it's not like you didn't know they were coming. Even Steve Bruce said as much post match! DEFEND IT! Delap the answer is simple. Until the refs or the F.A. decide otherwise he can take, as long as it takes. Just as Craig Gordon was time wasting yesterday right in front of me. I didn't like it but I don't gripe about it. Because, it happens every week. Hence, maybe that's why the ref added on 4 minutes and what happened next? We scored because an excellent ball was delivered into your box and Huth did the rest. Nothing to do with Delap whatsoever was it? I wish you all the best Mackem's and WELL DONE Syd doing an excellent job as "Super Moderator" Pott's
Fair comment. In the same position we'd do the same methinks. Our problem was we knew what was coming but didn't deal with it....surely that is our problem, not Stoke's? Gordon needs to sit down and watch lots of Peter Schmiecal {spelling?}videos 'cos that's how to keep goal. That's why we conceded 3 goals. OK, 2 were offside and one of those was a handball but it doesn't matter. The goalie NEEDS to command the box, for god's sake all 3 goals had a combined distance of 6 yards, what does that say??
You've all missed the point of the article here lads, i'm not complaining that we got beat off Stoke, they put us under pressure and got their rewards, we didn't play anything like we can and got what we deserved from the match. My point is, in other games you see refs urging players to take throw ins quicker when there is an obvious attempt at timewasting or for trying to gain a few extra yards etc. It just seened like Delap was taking an eternity to polish the ball and in my opinion wasting too much time and i must add that it was Stokes time he was wasting, you only went ahead in the dying minutes. I don't want to go to football matches or sit at home and watch on the TV in this case, just to see some ****er polish a ball on the touch line. There must be something inn the guidelines or rule books to stat how long a player is allowed to take and in my view he took the piss and the weak ref let him.
