Orchid thought thread was about Mistress Pong. She good friend of Orchid and sometimes we do double double together if they pay the money.

 

Months mate, not days.

 

But why?

Why would grown men do this?

 

Don't know, I love it. Escapism I suppose, we've watched TV and read books all our lives and it's the same thing, a story you now control. That's the best I can do.

Like luv said, it's no different to why people watch films, read books etc.

I get why some people find it strange, but generally they're people that didn't play many games when younger or their kids don't play games. The reality is most houses have a games console these days and it's as common as watching TV was in the 80's or 90's.

The way games have advanced its quite amazing what you can actually do these days. It's not like people sit round playing pong, a huge amount of games have far more depth than your average film.

Some of the best stories I've ever experienced are from games.
Bioshock, The Darkness, GTA4 to name a few

 

I've played Ark. I actually know how to slay a dinosaur bro.

 

And people genuinely think they are football geniuses because of FM

Although some even think they're experts after playing fifa!! At least FM is very detailed regarding stats and other variables. Fifa is an arcade game in comparison.

 

I was simply wondering how it was that Matth gains his insights into the game.

 

People rate players based on FIFA, noticed that a few times where people are banging in about how good a player is despite never seeing them play ever.

 

Yeah, there was a time when Saints would be linked with players from other leagues, and I couldn’t understand how so many fans seemed to have such a detailed knowledge of the Serbian 3rd division etc.

Then I twigged. Fifa/FM player ratings.

 

They were taking a break from Pong.
