I had a friendly bet with a buddy that whoever saw one first, the other one would buy the restaurant meal that we'd both have as a result of spotting one. We were in in the same car when we spotted this one. We flashed past the house and I said "Model 3!" He said, "Really? Want me to go back and verify?" Well, a meal hung on me being right, so he turned it around. And sure enough, there it was. We're going to go Dutch seeing as it was in his car that I spotted it. Afterwards, he said. "Are your eyes out on stalks like mine looking for Model 3's now?" We both laughed at that. Now the next step is for them to become more common on UK roads. That's when the avalanche happens.
Indeed so. The default colour used to be black. But I've a theory that they changed the default colour to pearlescent white [which they look superb in] in order to get them more noticed.
WTF? Well, that can make sense, 'cause you're supposed to make an Xmas pudding at least a couple of months before Xmas, plus could brandy the fook out of that thing by Xmas is you bought it this early.
I just finished watching “Carnival Row” on Amazon, which is quite brilliant, if you like Gothic thriller detective fantasy. Fabulous casting, great sets and beautiful cinematography. Can’t wait for Season 2!
Porsche named their new Taycan as a Turbo, and Turbo S for the higher spec version. Elon Musk wandered into Twitter and said... And as we know, Porsche always pride themselves on their performance cars speed on the Nurburgring circuit. So Elon Musk said this: Could be a popcorn moment. Tbf, Musk doesn't have to do this. The fastest Taycan doesn't have the performance of the fastest Model S, and costs nearly double. I think he's having fun. At least it draws attention to electric cars.
I read that three times looking for the Saintmarv gag..... then I realised it was a statement. Some terrible things went through my mind moving a couple of words around
Just running the clock down, to the start of my holiday. Taxi due at 13.15, for the 16.00 flight from Southampton to Alicante. We have to go early to get my wife’s wheelchair booked in and to ensure boarding support is in place. Already pre-booked but it still has to be confirmed on arrival, and it can take time, which isn’t good for a worrier like me. Returning from Alicante, in June, owing to the number of wheelchair users, it took around 30-40 minutes just to get through security, as against the few minutes non disabled people took, owing to them having more gates to use.
Hope you and your wife have a lovely holiday Badge, and that your airport experience is a smooth one!
Just watching "Back of the Net" on Amazon Prime - a weekly premier league show...really good actually. It is on every Tuesday night and there are 4 episodes = I am on episode 2. Recommend it.
I have a thing for Gaby Logan, hear Rickie every time John Bishop speaks, and love Peter Crouch. #DreamTeam EDIT: Ep 3 got Harry on and him & Peter talk about Saints v Pompey.
Thanks for the kind messages. Flight was good, arrived early, but delayed getting off the plane by the volume of people needing support on this flight. Managed to find a supermarket still open, so able to get some fresh milk and a snack. Having a cup of tea before a very tired Mrs Badger (she missed her afternoon bed rest) and an equally tired me (just did 10 straight days of 04.15 starts) drop into bed. Oh and if anyone working for the Highways Department would like to come over here and drive down the AP7 to see how smooth and bump free a road should be , I would recommend it. Night John Boy
We're just up easing into our early start, flight to Catania Sicily 06:30. Couple of weeks based in Taormina we'll head off wherever we fancy day by day. There will be wine.
