    Au contraire Mr Chesh...

Think you will find that in January/February I predicted we would finish 4th and that the best we could hope for was to go up via the playoffs.

You shouldn't just make things up because you want to try to put someone down.

That is an interesting point, which I can’t say I had noticed. But I wasn’t suggesting replacing Klich. For me Eddie starts for Bamford and Costa in for Forshaw though I appreciate he is playing well.

I think he means it’s preferable to him being dropped for Eddie <ok>

Saw a stat somewhere earlier that Bamford has got 14 in 28 games - someone please confirm or refute. If so, he's a real threat - misses some sitters ok, but you can't argue with those numbers if accurate. And like Klich, his movement is a constant headache for opposing defences, part of his game which I think is better than Nketiah at present, from the little I've seen.

We dropped 2 points against Forest which was a travesty, and the 3 against Swansea even worse, agreed - but we're not going to win 3-0 every week, and as fans we need to see the bigger picture rather than spiitting out the dummy after an individual or team lapse in one game.

What some are missing is that we are - sustainably - living the dream again. These seasons under Bielsa will be fondly remembered down the road a bit, when we've got the rosy goggles on - so ffs make the most of every game now while it's happening. We're the best team in the league by a country mile, the football we play is consistently positive and we have a true enigma on the touchline.

Bamford, Nketiah, Costa, Harrison, Klich, Pablo - they’re going to have an odd off day, but I’m glad they’re playing for us not against us.

I’d pretty much agree Davy. We were the best team in the League last year too, in my opinion and didn’t go up, so it’s understandable fans are twitchy when they see what is perceived as ‘old habits’. We just need to see incremental improvements in a few areas and we’ll be fine. Even if we’re no better than last year we’ll still have a very good chance of promotion.

It’s how it is as fans. We dissect every performance for areas of improvement and often are blind to the bigger picture.

That's fine as long as you don't come looking for compensation when you're off work due to exhaustion.

Now if possible just try remember everything that is said from now on as you do seem to be forgetful sometimes.

    For example;

Your wish is for our striker who scores 1 in every 2 games to be dropped for away games and replaced by Nketiah. This is even though we have a 100% away record with that striker scoring 4 goals in 3 matches and we have as a team scored 8 and conceded one.

    Away
    P3 W3 L0 D0 GF8 GA1

Very interested to hear your reasoning and justification for this proposed change.

No actually after further consideration I'm not, you are obviously not capable of any meaningful thought when it comes to formation and/or individual contributions and have you actually watched any of our away performances before coming up with that utter rubbish ?

FFS give you your chip back for 1 second and your drowning, <doh> I didn't say any of that, must be your split personality talking to yourself.:huh::huh:
Watched all the away matches, but didn't come up with that rubbish, you did.
Now go back to your shrink and ask for stronger tablets.

    Seems you did Chesh...

Just bumped the Swansea thread so you can own your comments and justify them if you wish.

Did you not know, Swansea was at home. Yes I do think Eddie is our best forward and should now start every game, preferably with Bamford, but that's up to Bielsa, if he doesn't think Bamford, should play there then maybe not.

    FFS stop wriggling.

" should play 2 up front at home 1 away, Eddie ".

    These are your words.

It's clear you think Bamford should be dropped away from home. Which was why I pointed out to you our 100% away record and the fact Bamford has scored 4 goals away.

You're entitled to your opinion but I'm entitled to point out it's utter tosh.

Don't know what you and Chesh's beef is, your both excellent posters. Anyway in response to you and Davy (another great poster) the figures for Bamford of 1 goal in 2 games looks good, but as I said when he joined he is a 'streaky' so he will score a brace or so for a few games and then go on streaks where he can't seem to find the net, which is why his sitters stand out. I remember a commentator many years back go on about how impressive Shearer was as a forward not because of the hatricks but the number of single goal games against all opposition showing he could handle any type of defence. Not sure Bamford has that but think Eddie's extra pace will see us see more of those 'tap-in' goals that he's scored already. As usual, I caveat that is just my opinion there to be shot at.

The point is Bamford is on a hot streak as 4 in 3 away games proves.

Quite why people want him dropped at this point seems to be based on preconceived negative standpoints, not his match statistics.

But at least you put forward some sound reasoning and obviously the answer might be to try them together as that worked the oracle against Brentford.

I’m only suggesting the change because most if not all are saying that games are following the same pattern as last year. Not clinical enough in front of goal (and you think of the Bamford header against Swansea and how the game would have changed had it gone in). Ultimately that failure to convert caused us to fail to get promoted. I just don’t see how doing the same thing again will work? I can’t see him improving that much at this stage of his career.
