I don’t want him gone, but if these guys come in, and they want to change it to take the club forward I will back their decision. I’m not anti Ross at all but anyone who says he’s convincing is living on fantasy island. I’m basically fine with whatever they decide.
If it wasn't for that Peterborough loss there'd be a lot more positivity about Ross, chin up lads it was only one game.
Well put. Ross has some convincing today, and we need to be more at it in every game from the start... with the right line-up
Agree completely. He’s got some work to do it hopefully he’s up to it. Last Christmas there were rumblings that Man U May he interested as he was doing so well. A lot changed after Maja left and with Grigg not hitting the ground well it caused a big issue (we’d gave gone up if Maja stayed) Ross looked good up until then and has struggled since. Certainly not convincing by any stretch. As you say, if the new owners want someone else, Ross will be out of here
Cannot see this happening until Oct/Nov. They will want to have a good look at the coaching staff through all levels. Even if this happens later Jack Ross will not last in this job.
I don't think it will happen, I can't see a top name risking his reputation on a team in the 3rd tier... We already have a so called up and coming manager..as for these managers such as Pulis, Warnock et al...No thanks. Ross still has a lot to learn, but I don't mind him. He came in when the club was on its knees..he steadied the ship. I would like to give him a chance with the knowledge that there is money available when the transfer window opens.
Aye, I'm not exactly Ross's biggest fan, but he's young and there's plenty of time for him to learn and improve. So tired of these dinosaurs of the game who have been round the block a hundred times and never achieved anything of any note anywhere.
Aye I think most of the people who criticise Ross forget about what a tough job it was to take on and how we went from everyone's whipping boys to one of the hardest teams to beat in England. I know we didn't get promoted (by the smallest margin) but equally we could have gone down to league two with a manager unable to stop the plummet. I'm not saying he's perfect but for me he's got more than enough credit banked to deserve a good transfer budget. I suspect if he wasn't working with freebies he'd get some quality players in and play good football. We wouldn't be saddled with a load of mercenaries either, he does his due diligence on them having the right mindset.
I think that, like Big Sam and Dour Dave, Tony Pulis is now a spent force, the game has moved on and we should too. I am critical of JR when I think it is right to be so, but he is an intelligent manager who is learning fast, and should be given at least until the next transfer window to sort his squad out and improve our standing. If he fails to do this, no matter who is in control of the club, his position should be reviewed.
Um, I am not a Warnock fan by any stretch, but to be fair to him he has managed quite a few teams from obscurity to the 1st div / championship and Cardiff to the Premiership. Admittedly some he took straight back down, but he has pedigree in lower divisions, where he seemingly knows his stuff......jack? Do we want someone who’s still cutting his teeth in league one and may struggle on promotion into the championship? I’m still not over the playoff final and the Peterborough match didn’t help lift my mood I suppose it’s hope for the best as always, and KTF
