I'm not explaining my behaviour, only theirs. I agree with them that hitting Bates in the pocket is the most effective means of protesting, but like you say, this is a big game and if regular fans don't buy out the seats, part-timers will eventually. Might as well make the most of the occasion while it lasts.

Manc Whites. <ok> I might as well say 'yeah of course there are people in Leeds who support Man U'. Of course there are going to be exceptions.

We're eternal Champions of Europe. :D More than you'll ever be!

He's called Farsleyexile, you absolute ****ing moron. Look up where Farsley is. Jesus Christ. You'll be telling us he should be supporting Farsley Celtic instead of United next. And even if he were from Scarborough, Leeds are the only team a self-respecting local would support.

Just walked past Elland Road on my way home ( yes I live in Leeds ). Its ****ing **** isnt it. That statue of Billy needs a splash of red on it

Anyway the fact remains that come Tuesday Elland Road will be the loudest its been in years because the big guns are in town.

Even in the PL Leeds' biggest game is against us so imagine how massive this game will be to the fans regardless of how much they try and play it down.

Yorkshire on the whole is quite embarrassing in terms of football just now.

    You live in Beeston? <laugh>

<ok> It's a sad state of affairs. The county that had the first football club and we don't have any top league representatives.

BTW, the 'we don't hate you', 'you mean nothing to us' **** from both sets of fans is getting boring now. Can we have some real banter please?

Manc Whites? You think any Manchester born man or women would support Leeds out of choice? Don't talk ****e.

I have seen many a United shirt in Leeds on the other hand when I have been there.

On that other thread what makes you think I was refering to what you think? Somebody on there asked if you could have Harold Shipman. Fair comment?

You aren't champions of Europe. Never have been, never will. Only in your small time dreams i'm afraid.

He's from Farsley is he? Well I'm from Manchester do you take my word for it? Of course you ****ing don't. And why would somebody from Scarborough support Leeds when there is a perfectly good enough local side they can support? Unless they are glory hunters?

Um, yes. Not everyone wants to support the same clubs as everyone else around them, you know. I was just passing on that I'd heard the tattooed guy was a South Mancunian since you were inferring some kind of intrinsic link between Leeds and England when in fact that's a load of bollocks. We actually have supporters groups in Manchester and Stockport, and no doubt those will have some locally born fans who started following Leeds in the Revie/Wilkinson/O'Leary days or whenever.

    <ok>

Yes, fair comment. You were clearly referring to the Turk who murdered the Leeds fans in Istanbul. What the **** else could it have meant? Like I say, I don't mind football fans taking things too far, just pointing out that Man U fans who often scrabble for the moral high ground when slating Leeds fans for singing Munich chants are now chipping with these Turkey jibes. Obviously we've touched a nerve.

    Yawn.

You're honestly suggesting he's lied about his origin in order to make him look like he was born locally? You're an extraordinary specimen, muffcock, you really are.

I have read a lot of pages of this thread. Leeds fans are totally embarrassing themselves, acting like they're still a big club, pathetic.

I dislike Man Utd with a passion, but you can't knock their position in football today. For leeds fans to be acting all high and mighty because they've got some ****ty cup tie coming up against Utd's second team is comical. Why can't these fans accept they are a forgotten team now and will just hover in the lower leagues for years to come.

The Leeds fans from what I gather lack dignity in abundance.

The fact my 10 year old grandson, who is an avid football supporter, knows absolutely **** all about Leeds really does sum up your team and the nature of your failed football club.

Get over it, no-one even talks about Leeds anymore and certainly isn't worried about drawing them in a cup game.

He was an example that struck me, on a train full of your fans who were all mostly slagging off Leeds for the majority of the journey back. Instead of berating the referee or complaining about whatever else or simply discussing the errors made that cost them the game, the majority of the train were slagging off Leeds. It was happening all around me. You don't care about us, you just take all your anger out on us, regardless of what caused it <laugh>

I knew you hated us more than we hated you

LFC1962: What a load of strawman argument bullshit. Why are you pretending Leeds fans have claimed stuff that they haven't, and why are you failing to back up any of your laughable points of view with any evidence? You bitter old man.

Glad you can admit that - then again it's hard to argue when Leeds has been in recent years labelled as one of the hopes for recovery from the recession as well as one of the most desirable places to live in the country. Hate the club, not the city, it's a beautiful place.

I can only feel pity for these poor Scum fans. Their once great team has become a laughing stock run by Yanks and turned into a tourist attraction. Their crowds are full of folk more interested in taking photo's than watching football.

You can't hear singing for the clicking of cameras. You can have your 70K fans but how many of them are actually knowledgeable about the game.

You should enjoy Tuesday night, a proper atmosphere, real fans, who are passionate about their team and will sing their hearts out no matter what the result.
