CORRECTION: This is the Starlink satelites stack. The original posted picture was showing them all. I've read elsewhere that the picture showed a half of them. Not true apparently [that clears up another earlier confusion for me]. So here's a clearer photo showing them with one of the two nose-cone payload fairings removed. With the picture on the right showing one satelite in isolation: please log in to view this image
I've long thought the same way. Especially when you see how they are made: please log in to view this image The central section is a similar build to the 'skateboard' design of several EVs. One could instead have a sandwich of batteries or mount them underneath or on top of the existing platform, with a rear, or front motor/inverter, or even both! It is so simple.
I think it’s the other way round. Tom is thinking “who is this pushy Aussie strumpet invading my space?
Porsche revealed their first EV today. The all-electric Taycan. And it's a looker: Finally, we have a car that exceeds the specification of the original Tesla Model S from 2012. And whilst it still lags behind omitting such features as Over-The-Air Updates, it at least gets the basic perfomance and range specifications right. This car should satisfy Porsche owners and give Tesla some actual competition. It will come in several versions from good to best specs. Prices start at around US$150,000 [£122430] for the base model. Here are the best specs: up to 450 km (280 miles) (WLTP) 93.4 kWh battery pack 270 kW peak charge rate 265 kW regenerative braking capacity Two-speed transmission 2.8 seconds 0-100 km/h (62 mph) Top track speed of 260 km/h (162 mph) Peak power 560 kW (761 PS) 1,050 NM torque It's a very good start from Porsche, there's no doubt. Hopefully a price drop and improvements will eventually come so that it becomes real competition for current performance model Teslas.
Yep made love to both of them. Well their music anyway EDIT: I've made love on Kylie loads of time actually as Mrs No7 used to buy 'by Kylie' bedding ....no it doesn't have pictures
My wife has been trying to get me to wear a hideous leather jacket. In the end I agreed. I suppose you could say I'm easily suede.
Tesla's Model 3 launched in the UK in June, with just a few initial deliveries. Last month, August, deliveries properly got underway and, to everybody's surprise, the Model 3 became the third best selling vehicle of any type, behind the Ford Fiesta and VW Golf. It also raised the UK’s overall electric car deliveries for August 2019 by 377%. Bear in mind that the Fiesta and Golf are far more affordable and well known cars too. The transition to electric transport is starting to gather pace: please log in to view this image

It's a myth no longer. Driving from work, I spotted my first Tesla M3, with my own eyes, on the edge of Southampton:
