True though init Piskie Players leave every club. We will probably lose Eriksen but replacing him with Dybala or players of that ilk doesn't exactly translate as a team breaking up So who will judge whether the team has broken up or just evolved? But you can bet whatever you want...I just need both parties to agree as per 'Bet for Bantz' rules n regs.
Surely they'd have to name some players (Kane, Alli, Son, Eriksen, etc) and say at least 50% will leave
The team peaked in 16/17 to be honest. We've not been as good since that season but still thankfully managed to keep our spot in the CL. We've had a good summer though with additions, it's just about getting them fit and up to scratch to then hopefully push on. As for the team breaking up, it depends how you're going to define that. Break up as in capitulate and we drop to mid-table? Or break up as in we replenish the ranks with fresh talent who can replicate or better the person they're replacing?
Nah fam it ain’t. I’m saying this current team has peaked. That’s about as straight forward as it gets. As for it breaking up, I’m not talking about a couple of your fringe academy players leaving, I’m talking about key first team players for example, Eriksen, Alderwiereld, Vertonghen, Rose etc. I’m not saying they will all definitely leave, but I suspect some will. What happens in terms of evolving or regressing depends on who you keep and who you sign. But my comment and challenge to HIAG that this current team have peaked and will begin to break up over the next season remains.
Hopefully for the most part we replace with better quality. Ndombele certainly looks like he'll be an uprade on Dembele. Lo Celso will have time to work alongside Eriksen before potentially replacing him, although I'm hoping to see Lo Celso played deeper (alongside Ndombele) and then try to move for Dybala/ Fernandes in January as an Eriksen replacement - unless Eriksen commits, then I doubt we'd go for Fernandes but may still try for Dybala as he can play on the opposite flank to Son and create a front three with Kane in the central role. Have a feeling the CBs may sign new deals.
Well that will be a long term bet; not only would it take two or three windows for departures, any arrivals would need a couple of seasons to see how they get on too!
You name your strongest eleven... PISKIE says at least half (6) will leave within a year... Too simple...?
