This is absolute, complete and utter b*llocks. It's exactly this which has caused some of the issues. There are genuinely good reasons for Brexit, but this is absolute plain and utter lies.
Finally, here is where Labour officially stands on Brexit. Emily Thornberry on last nights question time said if Labour wins a GE, they will negotiate a new deal with the EU, a better deal than already on offer, and then do another referendum to the British people to allow them to either vote for that deal or remain in the EU, as the only 2 options. And she went on to confirm that Labour's position will then to campaign in that referendum to remain, so campaign against their own new deal that they would have with the EU. Listen for yourselves here and the responses she got. Ladies and Gents, I give you Labour's official stance on their plans for Brexit if they get in power! What a bunch of fools and those who actually votes for this are even bigger fools!
Labour Governments Forced Queen to Block Numerous Bills please log in to view this image Over the last couple of days, Government ministers have avoided answering whether they would allow the Queen to approve to any legislation passed by Parliament designed to prevent Brexit on the 31st. Naturally, Remainers have reacted with outrage… Back in January a Policy Exchange paper by Sir Stephen Laws QC argued that the executive’s role in approving legislation is fundamental to the UK’s constitution, and passing laws without executive approval upsets the UK’s constitutional order. Guido can now reveal there is extensive precedent of Governments asking the Queen to not sign legislation they don’t approve. Anti-Brexit spokesman Tony Blair himself used this power on a number of occasions to “quell politically embarrassing backbench rebellions”. Perhaps most notably to block a bill by Tam Dalyell in 1999 that aimed to give MPs a vote on military action against Saddam Hussein. Going further back, Labour PM Harold Wilson used the Queen’s veto to kill off two “politically embarrassing bills” about peerages and Zimbabwean independence, in 1964 and 1969 respectively Alastair Campbell has been reacting furiously to Gove’s refusal to commit the government to obeying any law parliament passes; when asked about Blair using the same tactic, he conveniently failed to recall the case… https://order-order.com/2019/09/02/labour-governments-forced-queen-block-numerous-bills/ What a total bunch of con people liars Labour are and they pretend to be holier than thou..
Mixing a GE and brexit is folly. You cant use a GE as a pseudo referendum, there are too many other political points that cloud the issue. There are also too many divisions within the parties and the contituencies they represent. There isnt a 1 to 1 relationship. Voting labour or conservative isn't the same as voting leave or remain. I feel the brexit debacle will be an end to UK politics as we know it. Its not a case of who is the best between boris and corbin, its who is the least worse. I dont want either of them.
Here you go folks. David Cameron before the EU referendum. Seems very black and white to me. "Your decision. Not politicians. Not Parliament. Just you.” "And it will be the final decision." "Negotiations with the EU is happening right now and the referendum that follows will be a once in a generation choice, an in or out referendum." "When the British people speak, their voice will be respected, not ignored." “If we vote to leave, we will leave. They’ll not be another renegotiation or another referendum.” Have a listen yourselves here. Just press play!
Read this and the myths all the remainers spout about that we didn't have the facts or know what we are voting for will be disproved, we are not all daft or numpties, we haven't all died because we are to old, we are all quite lucid and educated, we are intelligent and capable of right and wrong and we did form the majority who voted Leave and not Remain which was the question printed on the ballot paper, we were not required to approve a shopping list of spotted dick or puff pastry for lunch. We are the people who are being betrayed and spat on by these ****, greedy, knowall MP's in parliament who are remainers and are all running **** scared of giving the people of the UK a general election.Piss Pot MP's who should be sacked the lazy, spineless cowards. https://assets.publishing.service.g.../20160523_Leaflet_EASY_READ_FINAL_VERSION.pdf
cjs spot on with WOMBLE TWEET he has about 50 sheets of paper, they have ben used time and time again everytime he puts something as a Q in PMQ'S it is the same referendum we voted to leave we want to leave the uk [ I think the EU some years back said it is not that simple for them to leave the UK and automatically be in the EU! ??] we want independence HAS NO ANSWER TO Scotland HAVING HIGHEST TAXES IN EUROPE! … evoloution, imagine they leave the UK we don't fund them, Europe don't fund them and they don't have enough enough of a gross national income to not stop more tax rises = disaster …………….. on top of that he has screwed up , as he said he woulda couple of years ago the uk parliament in London ……...
We invested as did the EU £trillions in Poland and DOING the same to other eastern European countries they get richer, we get poorer funding them …. pensioners have to pay the price more so in the UK … the first £16k of pensions in the uk should be free next 10k should be low rate of tax next 10k std rate then all over that at 40p in £
Yes of course we do. Poland is a net beneficiary from the EU, that's absolutely correct. But to say we're directly funding their lower pension age is nonsense. You could say it in a roundabout way - i.e. the EU gives them money for infrastructure projects which then means they can distribute their own money elsewhere. But that wouldn't be any different to saying that the EU rebate they give to the UK pays for our NHS, which is equally untrue.
if you took the time to read and digest then you would be able to avoid making statements that are not applicable .. I did not say we were funding their pension funds/ pensions ….. your contradiction / misunderstood / un digested next comment is then next part of your post the EU gives them money for infrastructure projects which then means they can distribute their own money elsewhere .. SO your misinterpretation of the post then leads you believe the funding provided by the uk [ building a few factories and thus supplying them with a few thousands of jobs ] is solely for the benefit of paying their pensioners more and lowering their pension age ...please read and digest …
I'm not misinterpreting your post! We're talking about Red Robin's post... which literally says 'Poland has lowered retirement age... using our money'.
coffee morning going well … no tv IN THE BACKGROUND... to distract, and plenty on the agenda from the events of the week to discuss … 6 city supporters and 2 rovers today. 1 COMMENT this past week has not seen much activity on the board! .. poor old Boris, we might have lost war had Corbolliks been in charge and Corbolliks would have been herr gruppenfuhrer in charge of the island of Elba or somewhere similar ….
The bottom line is the UK give out more than we receive. Take Germany and our contributions out of the pot and it would sink quicker than the Rovers
