Totally I get that mate, but just ‘cos one entity is less **** than the other doesn’t make it the saviour.....and as I said before, i honestly believed that we could possibly be getting some change finally in this country and gave my vote to the Labour Party......don’t think I’ll be fooled again.
He can still campaign with "No deal is better than a bad deal but we're trying for a deal" going into January. All that's happened is we've kicked the can and postponed leaving three months. Nothing else had changed. What would make a change is if he did a deal with Farage to go for no deal, but I can't see this happening. More likely, Farage will move to him before a GE
What will have changed is that he would have to say what kind of deal he thinks he can get. He will be exposed.
I wonder is that as significant as it sounds? He said he resigned as he has conflict between his family interests and the national interests. I would love to hear more detail about that.
Even left wing commentators like Kevin Maguire are making this point. If Corbyn runs from a GE, it will cost him
Don't agree. During an election campaign, he'll say exactly the same as he's been saying in the last months - "I think I can get a deal, but it won't be any good unless no-deal is on the table." That's what he'll ask the electorate to buy into. Corbyn will be saying - we will get a deal by being nice to the EU, but we aren't sure whether we'll recommend that deal to the electorate as we may recommend Remain instead. What a mixed message.
He’d have been a mug to fall for Cummins’ trap. Even with our moronic electorate and Tory press, there’s no better advert for Labour than this Tory shambles getting worse. It’ll happen but **** letting Johnson distract from his disastrous time so far to focus everyone on an election. 100,000 newly registered young voters for when the time does come.
It may not come down to Corbyn anyway. Boris may be able to publish a one line bill which requires a simple majority which the Scots Nats would buy into. That would be embarrassing for Corbyn. Your idea of - sit on your hands and watch Boris squirm - could rebound on Corbyn imo New Labour voters will come in, but some old Labour voters turn 30, start a family, get a mortgage and vote Tory!
Well everyone has to face facts that Corbyn may get in. Really interesting that it will put some leftie Brexiteers into a position that they vote for the Cons ... I respect that will hurt some people. Hope the Lib Dem’s rise is unstoppable love to see the Conservatives split up and come third
The economy is not in a bad shape, given that countries are moving towards a worldwide recession. Unemployment hugely low. Austerity has been tough, now the purse strings will be loosened. If Corbyn gets in, have a look at Venezuela, which he holds out as a paragon of socialism
Yeah the same Lib Dems that got in to bed with the Tories for years and voted for austerity.....what ****ing heroes those ****s are. I’d be surprised if many ‘Lefty Brexiteers’ as you call them/us would vote Tory......more likely to go further to the left if possible ( ie TUSC) or not bother voting at all.
What? Can’t agree with most of that? Corbyn is definitely a man of principle that can’t be in anyway criticised imo. Is he a prime minster I am not certain Can you imagine how difficult it must be to hold office when you have had to be subjected a mass of lies stud and propaganda? Compare him to what you have seen with Johnson so far? Anyone who can back Johnson today has to questioned. A lot on here said he would **** up and they were right ... Boris has played a blinder must be number one.
I will agree we don't have two great contenders in Johnson and Corbyn. There may be a cunning plan in what Boris did with all the proroguing bit, but I haven't seen it yet. I just see Corbyn's reputation for competence and leadership has sunk since became leader. But he is a good electoral campaigner so may be he can pull things out of the fire. But Labour cannot keep telling us they want an election, and then run from one - at least, not without doing damage to themselves in the eyes of the public
C'mon Goldy, you know exactly what Corbyn and labour are doing. Boris is full of ****, everyone is seeing that now. Labour are just giving him the rope, boris will do the rest. Cummings game (cos let's be honest, hes running the **** show) is not quite as sharp as labour's at the moment. Corbyn is playing a blinder despite myself thinking he isnt a great leader for labour.
That’s a strange comment Boris could enlighten us all with just a hint of a plan for a deal and also a plan post Brexit It’s about substance for me Plus it’s about time that people reconsider exactly how the EU have conducted themselves in every negotiation since 2016 Politics in the UK laid bare for me This is the UK’s last chance not to follow the example of the USA
