    Read what i wrote RP.
I said we could be in a position where every member state votes for an extension, bar one. The UK.
If Boris wants out on 31st October, all he has to do is vote against an extension at the EU. Thats the irony.

Yes, im having a laugh, at your inability to read what is written.

Your consistent insults add nothing to debate.

In the case of the Conservatives democracy is being damaged. The MP's mandate is their new elected Leader they as a party chose, and the manifesto they were elected upon.

Ask yourself what is the purpose of democracy? Why? What is it's function? When do we/you consider it to be no longer functioning? Is it functioning now?

As I said when Boris became PM I believe when he is blocked from keeping no deal on the table he will go to the electorate, saying he’s tried but is unable to negotiate without that as a possibility, the intriguing thing now is how he manages to pull it off.

    The plot thickens

I think you’ll find the bill they are looking to introduce today will stop him from voting against an extension. I may have misunderstood it but I think that’s partly what it does, it instructs him to ask for an extension.

Yes, he goes and asks for an extension as instructed. That then goes to a vote that ALL member states must agree to.
    How does he vote?
All he has to do is vote against it.
Hes already been seen to go against what is asked for in parliament.
    I'll use the phrase again.
    That's the irony of it.

    Just received this by email

    Dear ------------

Today, Remain MPs plan to steal Brexit from the British people. Remain MPs, working with the EU, today will vote to force the government to accept whatever length delay the EU chooses - as long as it is agreed by the Remain-dominated House of Commons. They will make this country a vassal state of the European Union.

Phillip Hammond, May’s chancellor, has admitted taking legal advice from the EU on his efforts to thwart Brexit in alleged comments to Boris Johnson.

By ruling out no-deal the Commons will tie the hands of the British negotiating team. Then we cannot threaten to walk away, we will be tied to the European Union indefinitely if the EU so chooses and this most rotten, treacherous parliament agrees. Our vote is being betrayed, once again.

the British people voted to leave the European Union. It was the biggest democratic exercise in this country's history. 17.4million people voted to leave the European Union, deal or no deal. Now our parliament wants to stop that happening. Our democracy is crumbling before our eyes. Scratch that, it’s being stolen.

Kate Hoey, stalwart of the Brexit movement, will vote to keep no-deal on the table. Kate has consistently supported Brexit and we owe her a huge amount of support and gratitude. We need more Labour MPs to stand up for democracy in today’s vote and we are working urgently to make that happen!

The political class, with their willing accomplices in the media, are tearing up every rule in the book to block Brexit. They claim it’s about stopping “no deal” - but since those same people have repeatedly ruled out no deal, and the EU doesn’t want us to leave, why would it offer anything other than a terrible deal?

That’s the Remain gameplan, they have worked closely with Brussels to deliver it, and May’s colony treaty was the result - which those same MPs then voted down. These people will never allow us to leave.

We cannot allow the Remainers to win. If we let these people crush Brexit then what is the point of voting for anything? The stakes could not be higher. Either we live in a democracy or we don’t.

    Thank you,

    Labour Leave

I'd expect they'd agree to a short extension but certainly not many more, if any.

By all accounts the EU have actually done a little bit of preparation for a no deal Brexit. We've done **** all except block the release of a paper telling us just how ****ed we're going to be. And before any of you lazily call it Project Fear as usual, that's from Johnson's own Government.

Happy to be corrected, won't be the last time, but I read :
'if they don't agree to an extension'.
    Of course they will.
    Apologies if I misunderstood.

    17.4million are being played.

Your response to another poster was "This is a special kind of stupid" your post here is maybe your most bizarre yet.

Billions of pounds are set aside, contingency plans in place, thousands upon thousands of people are working on the possibilities of Brexit. My partners work place provides products for the pharmaceutical industry. Solicitors at the bequest of the home office are in constant communication so the business will be prepared for the challenges it will face.

We've done **** all = You made that up.

It's posts like this which in a bizarre way make me hope we get a no deal, albeit temporarily. We may well see who is right...

Rob, I secretly hope Corbyn and Mrs Abbott win a GE.
And scarily my hope is far more likely to happen.
Hammond, Clark, Heseltine and Co need their heads examined.
