General election now, Boris has made Dianne Abbott the official counter, so about 30 votes should get the 2/3 majority.
Corbyn will want to vote for an election, the majority of his party will say no not yet. I’ve a feeling the 2/3 vote might be close.
I doubt the new legislation will be passed through the Lords in time before Parliament shuts down next week, rendering last night's vote meaningless. There are 150 allies of Johnson in the Lords and they'll filibuster (deliberately waffle on and on like they usually do but this time to the Government's advantage). Meanwhile Johnson can get on with draining the swamp - happy days
Last night's vote means nothing. Long way to go before this is sorted. Getting rid of the dissenters in his party is just the start for Johnson. Hammond and Co are history. Dom Cummings will sort the rest out.
For your sakes I do hope there is a majority party or the brexit pain will go on and on. An alliance with Farage could leave the moderate part of the Conservative party unimpressed risking defection to Liberals or Independents. Labour need a new leader and I'm sure they know it, even if Corbyn doesn't. Lots of reasons, in my opinion, for those who want to lead the UK to wait and see.

Corbyn calls for the 'anti no deal' bill to be passed before any General Election. I believe that this is because if it is passed, the Gov't will not be able to use it as an election tool. If it is not passed then Boris will be able to use it in his manifesto which will work against comrade Corbyn. Clever politicking or grabbing at straws?
You're right they may filibuster but there are 782 Lords so 150 allies is nowhere near a majority, but it could happen, they may talk and talk. Even if passed the PM could advise the Queen not to give her assent to the bill. So there is a long way to go but I suspect not for Johnson. As for draining the swamp why would Johnson want to harm himself and his rodent friends, the biggest rat in the swamp is Johnson?

The worst thing that can happen is for the no deal bill to be passed, it does not take us forward just stagnates everything do you fancy years and years of listening to all the arguments for and against Brexit all over again. This is what happens when MP's start using the law to bypass democracy. Gina Miller hang your head in shame for starting all this legal stuff.
It was a vote that asked "should", it's not passed as law or as a bill.. To actually stop a no deal Brexit, it has to be changed by EU law. If an acceptable deal, by the UK, is not reached with the EU, then the agreement says the member Country wanting to leave can leave the EU without a deal. Acceptable trade deals can also be agreed too after Brexit between the EU and the UK....... Boris will win a General Election, Corbyn knows it, he knows he doesn't have the support of the majority of people to win. A GE would be devastating to the Labour party, and Labour MP's know it. Many remainers have changed their stance and gone over to the leave side, and as Ristac pointed out, there are quite a few million oldies who go along quietly, then cast their vote for Brexit. Tory and Brexit combination will be a shoe in for Boris, Labour know that too. Basically what you'll have is, most Tories, UKIP, 4 Britain, Brexit party, some Labour, Liberals, Greenies and many neutral voters voting for Brexit when they vote for Boris. If Boris gets a landslide victory, or a big majority, then Corbyn may well be forced to stand down, Corbyn himself won't want that, but Labour MP's will. What also has to be took into consideration is all those who didn't vote in the original referendum. They've stood by and watched all the scaremongering by the remainers, they've seen their own constituant MP's lie and stab them in back. They've seen how the EU have acted toward the UK and Brexit, they've seen the lies, deceit and evil from the EU corrupt, remoaner MP's and the remoaner mob......................These people will be the silent majority that swings the GE for Boris, or are brainwashed by the remoaners evil doings...........My money's on the former.
That's actually a good thing because rats can survive in the the harshest of conditions, once in they're very difficult to remove. They will take over. The victims of the draining of the swamp will be the weakest - the traitors, the Marxists, the liberal elite and the lefty snowflakes. Nothing wrong with that. If Johnson and his allies are as you say rats, and rats are what are needed to implement the result of the Referendum and carry out the will of 17.4m people, then so be it.
I think it’s because if he agrees to an election the 31st October will approach and nothing can be done to extend the date or do a deal. I could be wrong but I’m sure I heard it mentioned, an election would be a way to trigger a no deal automatic exit on the 31st
When the state has ownership of all the means of production, on behalf of the people, we can start eliminating reactionary forces. Power to the people!
