I got lost on Moss Side wearing my Arsenal colours after rocking up at Maine Rd and telling the lads I was going off to buy some ***s. I wandered off down these old narrow terraces looking for a corner shop, eventually found one bought some cigs and the kindly pakistani chap who owned the shop warned me about walking around on my own around there with team colours on.

I was like 'Nah it's alright mate, I'm just going back to the stadium it's only 5 mins over there .....' Anyway, came out of the shop and completely lost my sense of direction and ended up wandering around for about 30 mins trying to find the Stadium, you'd think it would be obvious, but it's like ****ing Coronation St around there. Everything looks the same, just rows and rows of narrow victorian terraced housing. I was convinced that I was going to turn a corner and bump into some City hoods looking for somebody just like me to pick off. Luckily didn't happen, but I remember loads of similar stories where people took a pasting just for being in the wrong place near stadiums.

You should have just looked for their massive floodlights mate.

They won the biggest floodlights cup years on the bounce.

In the lower leagues it still is largely a social, working man's thing.

It's the Premier league which is piss.

I know. You’d think it would be obvious, but tucked away at street level around the old Maine rd they weren’t visible until you got within two or three terraces away.

I was there too! ****ing grim.

Made memorable only by some knuckle head calling Bailey a coon (I think) and my mate getting him in a headlock and explaining 'gently' that we had Paul Parker and Paul Ince in our own side so shut the **** up.

    I was hungover.

Best: Chelsea - last game of 2015/16 to see us walk out through the guard of honour with the Premiership trophy on show and all four sides of Stamford Bridge giving us a standing ovation. Sweet dreams are made of this. Never expected such a day in my wildest dreams.

Worst: Plenty <laugh> ... but travelling as one of 20 odd on a 12 seater minibus all the way to Exeter for an FA Cup replay on a freezing January night (think it was 1981) to see us lose 3-1 then have that journey all the way back to Leicester has to be up there.

Made me think your worst one, about when i was a mere lad, freezing my virgin nuts off on the terraces mid winter to watch my piss poor team play. Going home not being able to feel your feet and hands, thinking you've had a great afternoon out <laugh>

Or nowt worse than turning up to find the game called off after fighting your way through the snow, i know, i know!
