Blur or Oasis. Blur for Me. All albums different. Oasis loved the 1st album. 2nd was good - then it all seemed the same.
Hilts, to quote Lars from Metallica "Oasis are at heart, a rock band and Blur are, at heart, a complete pile of ****"... I can't argue with that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sH5TMppIIPw (Noels 'High Flying Birds' sounds pretty cool...I've no comment on BDI)
Blur were more innovative.................Oasis more accomplished and successful tough call I like original stuff, so I'd go for Blur
Gallagher Bros both big Man City fans, (my second team still think Blur were more original though H Ya Boo Sucks
I'd go for Blur out of those 2, but I have to say Pulp was my favourite from that era...I've seen them twice this year and they still put on a great show
Seen them both live : Blur were better Oasis: Masterplan, Little by Little, Roll with it - My fave songs Blur: Song2, Charmless Man, Girls & Boys, Beetlebum, Country House, Tender, Parklife - My fave songs Blur all the way for me
Blur by a country mile (or should that be house?) Interesting piece of pop trivia for those who are anoracks like me.... On signing for EMI the band were made to change their name from Seymore (taken from lead character in little shop of horrors) and were given a number of options one of which was The Soup Dragons. Oh and musty blur were far more punk influenced than oasis. If you are a pistols fan Google 'blur live at peel acres' you should love the live versions of popscene, Chinese bombs, advert and of course song 2.
Both average to good rock bands - the blur v oasis thingy was built up by clever marketing & the press - oasis portrayed as the bad, working class lads & blur the arty college guys - both bands were happy to go along with this as it lead ultimately to more ££££ - i like them both, but ultimately in football terms they would both be lower premier/high championship teams - IMHO.
I think you answered your question in the title "Who are better". I can't stand either of them but if someone put a gun to my head and said choose, it would have to be Blur but only because I hate Oasis even more.
black sabbath v nirvana, led zep v red hot chillis, deep purple v nickleback, sweet v wham, slade v acdc, status quo v u2, blue oyster cult v pearl jam lots of comparisons
