In order 1. Yes. It was reaffirmed in the Conservatives winning the last election making it more than just advisory. 2. Both sides lied. Doesn’t mean that’s why one won and one lost. They also tell blatant lies before General Elections but nobody is wanting every GE re-run. And the same applies to any foreign interference the extent of which and the effect of which is impossible to calculate. 3. 50 years? Where did that come from? On the plus side some people will have you believe that the planet will be destroyed in under 10 years so that would mean we didn’t have to worry about the economy for the remaining 40 years. 4. The future is what you make it. No-one knows what the future will bring. Go out and do something. Don’t just let life impact you, you go out and impact life. Same for your children, same for my children. 5. If we rejoined why should we be in any worse position than we are now? Everyone is supposed to be treated equally. Why should we have the veto now anyway? Are some of us more equal than others?
Boris basically confirming today "no deal" was a disaster for the country and he was only starting the rhetoric to bluff the EU into accepting his deal... Now a load of his own MPs have tripped him up and he's having a paddy ****ing terrifying that people will vote for him in a general election.
^^ ^^ Fake news from project fear. Have you been reading articles penned by Diane Abbott for the twelftieth time mate? ...
Looks like the remainers are basically stuck now. It's essentially settled we are leaving the EU on that date, even if their back handed constitutional meandering does succeed he will simply throw a general election and they will lose the ability to impact anything meaningful. I feel highly confident in saying that if Boris calls an election, he will win a Tory majority.
Nee way... If the Tories can form a government without getting into bed with a bunch of religious bigoted nutjobs again, I am done. The whole mess has been orchestrated by the Tories, chief amongst them Boris. The two things the Tories have successfully done is reduce unemployment and affect a smear campaign on Corbyn, aided by the media. I have come across very few ardent labourites who both hate Corbyn and can name a single one of his policies. I have come across someone who works in the NHS but who voted for the Tories in the last election because they have been told to hate Corbyn. I mean, seriously? They can't even do their job in the private sector to make it worthwhile voting for the Tories, so what the **** are they doing? I don't have an allegiance one way or the other, I always vote after reading all the policies of all the parties and picking the one who are closest to matching my own values. There is no incentive to do this because most areas are red or blue, and there is no room for actually thinking. I think Lib dems will be the only party that risks being anti-Brexit and they will win a **** load of votes and a few seats from Labour, but overall Tories will have the most seats. Again. it won't be enough for a majority though.
I am also of the opinion that the referendum needs to be honoured but cant help thinking that its going to have a significant negative impact on the economy and the latest machinations of elements of the Tory Party, forcing through a no deal, serve no-one except those who are rich enough not to notice and also stand to make a killing from a downturn in the economy and the currency.
So the Barclay Bros and Rupert Murdoch. Right wingers with untold wealth hidden offshore and a means to make even more with us being out of the EU and the economy crashing.
Here's JRM with his 50 yrs - https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/en...vVZL0OQ7cCJPJskQlUln8ATZazotsJmpB1fY9C7z3vrvq and here's someone from the Brexit Party saying 30yrs of our economy tanking is worth "taking back control" https://www.indy100.com/article/brexit-party-eu-elections-lucy-harris-economy-30-years-8919786
What I don't understand is why are these ****s wasting yet more time (that they claim not to have) focusing on anything except getting a good deal with the EU. They're all a waste of space and air.
Johnson hasn't even engaged in negotiations as far as anyone can tell, he's too busy promising billions of spending left right and centre or getting his dog delivered to Downing Street. It's not a small thing, it's going to effect facet of our lives, and the worse part is that this is just the beginning. We've got years of trade deals to sort out too.
His behaviour and statements are part of the negotiation process... that’s how international politics works..
Indeed. I don't think this is just Boris though is it. Corbyn and these rebels have shown zero willing to actually get on and work with the government to deliver the best possible deal for the country.. At virtually no point in 3 years have they bothered. There was a point when the public started to turn their guns on Corbyn and Labour under May where he paid lip service for a couple of weeks but that was it. Their petty squabbles and allegiances should have been put to one side for the good of the country after the vote. They should all have worked together full tilt to deliver a very important moment in our history. Instead they are focused on getting themselves an election to get a crack at, or trying to get the remain vote risen from the ashes. Its all about getting something out of it for themselves and furthering their own agenda. Boris's action is termed undemocratic. It may well be, but its in response to their undemocratic behaviour over three years. They set us off down that route in my opinion. The planning and work we've done since to enact the vote has been a disgrace to the political system in this country. I keep hearing its the government and their skulky plans careering us towards exiting the EU and no deal. I'm pretty sure the public decided the first part quite some time ago. The government didn't force anyone to vote to leave contrary to the populist view that everyone was duped by NHS promises or the press etc. Has no one listened for the past 30 odd years? We've never sat happily within the EU since the beginning, and certainly there has been a long held portion of public opinion we'd be better off out - so I wish people would stop pushing these falsehoods that the leave campaign lied their way to success. They certainly did lie as did the remain campaign, however their success wasn't founded there sadly. Funnily enough that is campaigning worldwide too - lies and false promises! The fact that underlying public feeling got crystalised into a vote is something Cameron is told to take responsibility for, he opened Pandoras box (though again pretending its him alone is comical). I personally don't think we should have been asked, our elected representative should have been able to agree that without public help. As I say this is not just Boris, May, Corbyn etc. Its every single one of them virtually. There will be ones in there who have tried to do their actual job. The vast majority haven't. We should have been able to work diligently on delivering Brexit while dealing with other business. Instead the remoaners within the political system have set about creating chaos for 3 years defiantly trying ignore the very clear task they were given by the vote. They have paralysed this country selfishly regardless how complicated the issue is. And their colleagues have allowed them to do so with wishy washy leadership. I think what makes me laugh is when you point out what a set of ****s these rebel MPs have been, all that ever comes back in response is ****e about the NHS promises, Boris's mind changing traits etc etc. Yes yes he's a **** and they were for lying. That simply doesn't excuse the rests behaviour though or help us get a deal. I didn't want to leave. However I wanted the ensuing mess created by remoaners even less I have to say. I also don't agree that rejoining in the future should things not work out doesn't necessarily mean we end up ****ed on the way in. I think they'd welcome us and our contributions back. The EU is stronger with Britain in it. They would be sensible enough to take a win if it is offered hence they don't want us to leave. Not every negotiation ends up with one party getting ****ed.
The opposition simply did not do enough during the referendum. Jo thinks she could do a better job than Clegg, poor woman can't get through a simple BBC interview without coming across like a struttering disaster. The issue here is that the parliament are acting like mutes. The EU has stated no new negotiations are possible, but they push on demanding it. The PM states that the UK leaving is already British law, but the parliament denies it. The leave voters have more constituencies and the popular vote. The parliament denies the existence. Since Keir is now the new leader of the Labour Party and that skeleton wrapped in sheep's skin is nothing more than a crooked teethed recorder, and since Jo Swinson has decided she is the new leader of the opposition; who would we even elect as the interim PM? some no mark without an ounce of support? Atleast Boris polls well, they're genuinely suguesting that the best option now is to hire some old fart on the brink of cardiac arrest to basically cancel the whole thing. It's embarrassing.
Everything you've written was eminently predictable as soon as the Tories failed to form a government themselves. Whoever was in charge of opposition parties in the same circumstance would have done the same thing, it's easy to basically tear the Tories to shreds over it... I think a lot of people would have given kudos to the opposition parties for making it easy for May. But howay... was never going to happen. May is the only one anybody should feel sorry for. She was pushed into position by dickhead Boris, he knew how this game would play out, and passed the buck beautifully... He wanted to pick it up when he had made it impossible and make himself the hero and saviour of the Nation. Nobody should forget that.
