    its a valid point

I think people should think about the things they've done and consider the worst outcome .. no point burning witches im sure hes sorry and will learn from it.

everytime someone dies people want to blame someone but I see it differently … luck

Its not luck. If someone is going about their business not doing anything wrong, not "distracted on their phone" and some drink driver ploughs into them its not luck that was the problem. That bell end chose to drive that car, admittedly probably not making your best decisions when pissed but perhaps leave the car at home if you are going for a drink.

I've literally just got back from putting 3 people in ambulances as a result of poor decision making behind the wheel.
There is no need for it

You retroactively edited your post to try and make it look valid.

Why are the videos of him in the public domain? Surely the CPS must have released these for this to be the case. Is that standard practice for all arrests regardless if the person is famous? Is it standard practice to hand them over to the press?

I'm not defending his actions. Obviously he has made a serious error of judgement he should pay the price for. I'm just not sure how vilifying him through the press on top of that, and trying to impact on his ability to make a living is good educational practice that will see his behaviour change.

I get where Chaos is coming from to. I probably wouldn't go as far but there are a lot of hypocritical stances taken in relation to behaviour. The example of drug dealers is used, and Welshie correctly identifies there is a subtle difference. But what isn't different, regardless if a user chooses to buy cocaine, is said dealer cutting it with anything from boric acid to laundry detergent. Yes the user is doing something illegal by purchasing it, and he knows he has chosen to buy cocaine, but he hasn't agreed for that dealer to risk his life by cutting it with all sorts. However because that person is doing something against the law, are they somehow more expendable?

There are other examples. I see people driving on the road every day that shouldn't be. Some of them have driving traits which are similar to that of drunk drivers. So they cause similar kinds of risk. Some of these drivers just aren't aware how badly they drive. However many are. I know a lot of old people who in their heart of hearts know they shouldn't be on the road. However they fear losing independence so hold onto their licence way too long. They, like the drink driver, are taking a conscious decision to put peoples lives at risk. In some ways they're worse because they aren't under the influence clouding their judgement.

Dude... everyday guys end up on those traffic cop programmes all the time, there's no line crossed here.

He was ****ing well hammered. The judge rightly threw the book at him and the same should happen to anybody who drinks and drives or texts behind the wheel.

My point is why is the system and society picking and choosing who to punish so thouroughly ... theres rapist murderers getting more protection.

bring back the death penalty for all crimes its fairer than todays crap.

Its consistancy thats required not the occasional lynch

Another thing ive notived over the years is people thinking theyve never been a danger to someome elses life... if youve as much as thrown a stone, lit a fire , set off fireworks , or been a normal teenager you could have killed someone... society would rip you apart but weve all done something stupid and been lucky enough to get away with it.

Threw a stone, never at anyone.
    Never been in a fight.
Never lit a fart but not sure it would harm anyone.
Genuinely don't speed, fail to use mirrors, indicators etc when driving as I see the results of poor driving.

I mean, I've probably done something somewhere that could possibly hurt someone. Today I kicked a stone from the middle of the path to the grass at the side as "someone could twist an ankle on that", potentially someone is going to walk just to the side of the path to move aside for someone else. I guess they could then trip on the now moved (by me) stone and hit their head on the pavement and die but that's a far cry from driving a car pissed!

After the second 4-3 at Anfield, a game I took the missus to... I got a blowjob pretty much the whole length of the M62 back to Hull (student accommodation). Of course I drove slower to drag it out and remember truck drivers passing me and giving me the thumbs up.

My point being blow jobs should be banned too.

Of course there are risks in everything we do. However that is hardly a reason to mitigate what Saunders did. He knowingly drove after drinking. His car was swerving over the road and mounted the pavement. The maximum punishment for drunk driving or refusing to give a breath test is 6months inside. He got what he deserved.

And where Pouchy is coming from with his story about the time he bought coke which was laced with wsshing powder and thinks that the dealer should be punished more heavily I have no idea.
