They were good. Did them in the microwave. Much better than in the oven. The gravy doesn’t evaporate. Though randomly did the mushy peas in the oven, much better as made them proper stodgy.
Dying breed mate. Same as all te big ****ing stores are gonna do away with all their counters, and everything is gonna be pre packed.
I live a mile from a 'fishing village' which has had an influx of the likes of Tesco Express, Costa, M&S food, Prezzo, Fat Face etc. etc., all the usual. Funnily enough the butcher has moved into a new, massive, shop across the road from Tesco and, along with the fishmonger, inependant off licence and green grocers, is thriving rather than struggling. The new M&S might see to that (if we ever ****ing finish it) but these places have had the opposite effect so far.
Doubt that. It's a food store and will probably work in the location it's being built. No clothing or anything.
That's a good thing i think. But Tesco, Asda etc are finding it hard to compete with the Lidl, Aldi etc. So how will a M&S compete, as they are more expensive than them all?
Think M&S play on the quality and the ready meals so are looking at a different market. Think they are also expanding the food side as it is one of their best earners. The meat there is really good as is the fish. Aldi and Lidl are direct competitors for Tesco and Morrisons and its all about price. Mrs has specific supermarkets for various products - its a nightmare shopping for her. She has this thing about hard (underipe) mangoes so have to go to Sainsbury's most days and feel their mangoes out. If not up to scratch its off to Waitrose. I normally bring a load back from Jakarta and hope I dont get stopped in the airport. Found Tesco has really gone downhill the last few times I have been home. Generally not much stock in the fruit and veg. Not surprised they are struggling. The big one near us has both an Aldi and Lidl close by and they are both generally busier.
