I remember staying at an out of date seaside resort in Wales. I bought a pint of Boddington's before going to bed. I was up all night, blocked the toilet and had to keep sending out for more toilet paper. Never did get to sleep...….and never returned to Wales!......and there was that time in Munich...…..

I genuinely find it odd that not much in Wales is named after Tom Jones

This might be related to literally everything being named after Owain Glyndwr, Dylan Thomas or Nye Bevan

These people trying to block Brexit are going to cause a No Deal. The only way Johnson can stand a chance of winning an election is to enter a pact with Farage. Interesting times.

Yes, it's definitely not the fault of the people that have been pushing for No Deal Brexit. No way.

What a bizarre thing to say. If we slide out with no deal, the fault will be on Govt and its rapid supporters on the backbenches. The fact that opposition (inside and outside the party) hasn't been effective is not the cause.

Parliament has rejected the "deal" agreed in principle between
the EU and the (then) govt, on three occasions. A rejection that came
from ALL sides of the house.

Given that the EU have told us that there is no other "deal" to be
forged, then Parliament has taken things to a WTO terms destination
( "decision by default" ) . A destination for a journey that was was started
when they voted to invoke "Article 50" .

Whether a better "deal" was there to be had, the reality of citizen May
as a politician (much less PM) etc , is now for historians to scrutinise.

Parliament has rejected "a" deal. The fact that May was utterly incompetent and out of touch with Parliament is not the fault of anyone but her and her cabinet. They had 3 years to do this. 3 Years!

It's like it knows it's being used to try and distract from proven liar Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson threatening his own MPs with a Home Counties reimagining of the Night of the Long Knives...

There was never a good deal to be had and those pushing for Brexit knew it before the referendum.
They lied about what could happen and sold all possible, conceivable outcomes to the voters, despite this.
It should be scrapped, investigated thoroughly and used as a warning for any future referenda.

There is a difference between the Leaving Agreement and the terms of trading after we leave. And just because no deal is the default doesn't mean it was positively supported. Perhaps the MPs thought the Govt wasn't incompetent.

Of course if the Leave campaign policy of not giving notice until we had the trade agreement in place had been implemented we could never have got into this mess.

What is certainly true is that no-one contemplated no deal during the campaign.

Almost as if they believed that the train would run off the rails well
before reaching the destination station called "Exit" , and there
was no need to have brakes installed.

Unfortunately (for some) , that train is very adept at keeping on the tracks
no matter how some try to warp them, throw leaves on them etc. :)

Which by definition in the universe of infinite potential deals, means there is not one "deal"
in existence that is amenable to both sides. Which of course is utter b*llocks.

"They lied about what could happen and sold all possible, conceivable outcomes to the voters, despite this."

I would like to see this list of "all possible, conceivable outcomes" .
Will be a biiiiiiiiiiiiig list (given by definition tis infinite) .
