I think this time they are really serious......I see soccer pitches (I hate that word!) all over the place. I think if you looked like a slob you became a grid iron star. No longer. The smaller fellas are making their presence felt.....with their feet!......not to mention the girls!
Everything about it is a disgrace. Should've been sorted before the start of the season, at the very least.
Will SSN have a countdown clock for when the phoenix club is set up in their place, or would that be too classless?
Too classless? Sky? Nothing is too classless for Sky - even though they are infinitely more classy than ITV will ever be.
Man Utd: Why Old Trafford feel-good factor could last this time - Phil Neville please log in to view this image By Phil Neville MOTD2 pundit and former Man Utd defender https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49315023 This was after the first game. How that prat has multiple jobs in football, I don't know. Even worse for United is they couldn't have had much more luck in their opening games. Chelsea hit the post twice, they've had 3 penalties, and an opposition player sent off, all in just 4 games, yet they only have 1 win!
Why do all the pundits say exactly the same thing? I'm thinking particularly of their love (to put it mildly) for Liverpool. They now clearly have been grouped without any critical analysis as being on the same level as Citeh and above everyone else. This is presumably based on (1) the Pool bias / entitlement that is always there and (2) the fact that there was only one point between them last season. BUT (and it's a big but so I used capitals) there seems to have been no mention of how Pool got within one point by way of lucky goals, offside goals, dodgy penalties etc, and lets not forget the front three being available pretty much every match. All this is presumably built into the "on another level" analysis, but you would think at least one pundit might mention such possibilities as (and I say possibilities): > one or more of the front three having an extensive injury > the refs manning up (which might be easier if they can "hide" behind VAR) > teams not giving them goals by extremely bad keeping / defending > the fact that a lot of the team didn't get much of a rest over the summer > the fact that their CL champions status has brought them more matches to play And there's more. The main point is that any of these, particularly the tiredness, can easily be cited as a factor why Pool might not achieve the same this year as last. All I'm hearing are every pundit saying they'll get at least runner-up and a few even saying they'll win the title. I think the tiredness will catch up with them and impact the performances if they are allowed to (if the refs are more even handed I mean). So lets all take note of what the pundits say now, and then what excuses they come up with if Pool don't perform. If this happens, and they say something like they are tired from a lot of extra football, why not say that now?
Football pundits fall into the same category as flat earthers, climate change deniers, anti-vaxxers and alt-right commentators: they aren't employed to change anyone's minds with a well-argued discussion, they exist to confirm the beliefs of those who listen to them no matter how patently obvious it is that the weasel words in what they're saying are doing a hell of a lot of legwork to try and make their point sound credible
Wednesday losing at home to QPR after leading so Mrs RCL not impressed... West Ham, Chelsea , Leicester and City all making it a crap after for results...thank **** for united
Did Laporte injure himself doing a typical Citeh (TM) cynical challenge? How do they get away with those every match?
As Spurs prepare for Arsenal the tv people on our channel are talking about Poch being happy/unhappy. I really don't know. If he's unhappy with results,as we are, many are of his own making with team selections as per last year. The one coming to mind is the decision to bring an unfit Harry back too early and breaking up a winning team resulting in Spurs going down the pan in the second part of the season, letting City and Liverpool run away and giving Chelsea 3rd. I remember contributors on here making regular comments about Poch's team selections and he is still doing strange things. Perhaps I'm expecting too much....? …..and yes,Spurs did incredible things in the CL that they couldn't do in some league matches. That had more to do with the players than the manager.
Apparently he'll be out for at least 2-3 months. I said a few weeks ago I was shocked that they didn't replace Kompany. Their CB pair is now Otamendi and Fernandinho with Stones also permanently crocked. Hardly inspiring. Only hope opposition sides actually go for them instead of rolling over.
Watching the Everton v Wolves game, Delph has not forgotten his Citeh tactic of dragging the opposition player down if he gets past you
