Not at all. I think that they and we are all in it together. Like the 3 must get beers, we're all for one and one for all.
Just watched his Press Conference pre Blackpool which lasted 16 minutes on the tape, longer than any other so far this season and the bloke just talks utter sense. He knows as well if not better than us fans what the expectations are for this season and he tries to take the pressure away from the players. He knows were in for a big week with three home games and I fully expect the team to deliver the nine points, it's not going to be easy Blackpool haven't lost since we beat them on New Years Day, but a potential season defining week is upon us so come on and get behind the lads.
Have to say, following on from my last point, there’s an air if arrogance with some of our fans. Going on about “we should be top 2” seemingly just because we’re Sunderland. We don’t deserve to be second because we’re SAFC. We should be there or there abouts at the end of the season. We haven’t clicked into gear properly at all yet we’re in the mix. Deeply in it.
That's been my thinking Marcus, we have fans who still think we're a premiership team and should be slaughtering this league and as that's not happening they turn on the management. were in this league because we deserve to be here, were up against squads who have had ages together whilst we're playing catch up. We're keeping ourselves in with a chance of going up here and I like everyone else hope we can push on and have a great last three months and get the end result we all want... Promotion.
Built a promotion challenge in one window building almost an entire squad. Cracking start imo Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
Here’s one for you. We’re **** with a clueless manager but Newcastle are currently doing almost exactly what we do and the commentators think they’re awesome. Funny game football
It's always been like this tho Marcus. The media have always viewed them up the road as a 'bigger' club, it's only us fans that know that is complete bollocks. It does get on your tits but I try and ignore it these days.
I don't let it bother me, I think our 6 x league titles and 5 x runners up to their 4 x titles and 2 x runners up can't be disputed. The history books don't lie.
I don't think he's out of the realms of having his tactics/subs/team selections questioned. Calling for his head is utter ****ing madness though. People have short memories.
Where are we all with this now? There's been supporters on social media directly calling for his head. The vast majority have been patient, though. This is early days but this could be the start of our revival in making our way back to the promised land. There's been set backs and the football hasn't been better than average. I can see it coming together though bit by bit, just like it did with Peter Reid...
Social media was full of people wanting him sacked a couple of weeks back, but this dried up as we went on our winning run. however, checking some forums this morning, loads calling for his head again as soon as we went a goal down last night. I honestly don't know what drives these people..
The back end of the season gave me some serious reservations when we hit the 1-1 run and the fact he couldn't seem to change tactically. Those same reservations are still there though the past 3 games have shown me that he can change things. 3 games don't define the whole season though. I do however think last nights result could be a catalyst for us to kick on now. Some reservations remain, but like I said on another thread I'll judge him by around Halloween time this season with his squad, his players and his philosophy etc.
Who are these people calling for his head, Sunderland supporters, I only come on this site and Salut Sunderland occasionally and no one has called for his head on here after one game that I can recall. A few including me said to give him until Xmas after that awful display first home game , which was fair comment under the circumstances. These just shouting for his head at every opportunity sound like rival supporters to me from what you say and should be just ignored.
Give Jack Ross credit he's come through (since) that first couple of games with flying colors. Great display against Burnley last night, yes rode our luck at times but all teams need luck now and again. Well done Jack Ross, now keep that momentum going.
I think give the man time. We’ve fallen into this trap, or this habit, of the second something is going our way we want to bin the manager. I think is undoubtedly rubs off on young fans coming through and breeds a negative atmosphere. I’m happy with him, and I’m happy with the squad too, and if we can get another defender in then that’s great. Ktf with Jack
I’ve never thought he should go but had some frustrations after first couple games (coupled with the end of season collapse). All I wanted was for him to show some adaptability, he’s done that and as such I’m delighted he’s still in charge. He’s learning on the job to a degree, and you get the impression maybe the club was a little big for him at points but he’s growing into it. We are actively trying to win games now and that’s the way, he’s doing a stellar job, and long may it continue.
Nailed my thoughts on this one mate. At times towards the end of last season and during the end of our recent pre-season I was becoming frustrated and wondering if he was a one-trick pony. I always kept the faith and I'm delighted he looks to have turned it around and has continued to build us up. I guess and hope some supporters have learned that JR himself is still learning but he's got the skills to adapt and overcome if we stick with him.
