Clubs need to take power back from agents, they are out of control. I suppose it's all a bit easier if you are successful.

Bobby Duncan's sexist homophobic agent has ruined both their careers

It clearly bullying for the club to say, 'we rate you and want you to stay and get a few senior cup games this year, maybe next year you'll be in the squad. Also £1.8m is too low'

It’s impossible to know exactly what’s going on. If the kid does feel that way then that’s really bad and club should be doing as much as possible to help - which they may, we don’t know.

But what ever is going on, if he’s suffering from issues then shoving his private business in front of the whole world and broadcasting his mental health issues while he’s struggling with them is hardly going to help is it.

If the club are being dicks about stuff then yeah get it sorted but so it behind closed doors as all that’ll happen is you’ll get idiots going onto his social media and posting stuff which isn’t going to make the situation any better.

His agent had too many homophobic and sexist tweets to delete (even more than Mason Holgate) so he just deleted his entire account <laugh>

If the agents statements regarding his mental health are true ,which i seriously doubt , he needs to give up pro football as he isn't cut out for it . In fact if he is that fragile not sure how he is going to manage "life" .

His agent has already been exposed for mocking Stan Collymore about mental health issues, so there's no "doubt"

    https://www.empireofthekop.com/2019...ophobic-sexist-and-downright-horrible-tweets/

Saif Rubie’s homophobic, sexist and downright horrible tweets…

    "Saif Rubie is an idiot.

That much has been made absolutely clear.

Bobby Duncan’s agent, a PR man who has just made the worst PR decision of his entire career, has a history of blatant homophobia, sexism, racism and even more shockingly – sex offender apologising.

He has even tweeted support for Adam Johnson, although all of this has been deleted and we’re relying on screenshots to document his character.

If you open the tweets below, you’ll see multiple screenshots of Rubie displaying his disgusting views on women, homosexuality and mental health.

At the bottom, we’ve included a recorded voice-note that he sent to babestation models in an attempt to woo them to Dubai.

    Rubie: you’re over."

You would think in a world where social media presence is everywhere, an agent would be more savvy with the tools such as twitter . Player agents from the outside looking in appear to be less concerned with the players they represent than the money they can make off their moves.

Not really any surprise given the slush money in football so greed is evident throughout. Hope the player can get sorted and be better advised.

There may well be some decent agents out there, but from our perspective they just look like parasites. A gang of wide-boys who see the opportunity to make a load of dosh.
I believe that players under 16 aren't allowed agents, and that between 16 and 18 a parent or guardian has to act as intermediary, but it seems to me that agents are unfairly exploiting younger lads who don't have enough experience and the maturity to make sensible decisions, and that they, and their parents, are easily blinded by the promise of such great wealth.
I think there ought to be tighter controls and oversight on the whole thing.

Duncan isn´t related to Hudson-Odoi by any chance? Another one who sought the glory of Bayern Munchen within minutes of stepping on to the pitch for Chelsea.

I think the sancho episode has gotten alot of mediocre youth players very excited. It suddenly seems obvious that going abroad is a much easier way into a clubs first team, with the riches and fame that follows.

They always seem to forget that they couldn't break into rochdale's first 11 the season before when they where on loan.
